We were here having dinner with my family and the quality of the food was incredible, good atmosphere and excellent service. I recommend the calamari and the delicious trout

The service is the worst I have ever experienced. I don’t even know if I can really put into words how bad it was. We arrived for breakfast a little after 10. There was no one at the hostess stand to seat us for almost 10 minutes. Once seated it took at least another 10 minutes for the waiter to ask us if we wanted any beverages. We noticed that other tables that had already been seated had no drinks or food. That was a huge red flag and we should have run. We only saw 1 person working in the restaurant. He was serving as the hostess, the waiter, and the busboy. Once we put in our orders, it took at least 20 minutes to get coffee. The waiter seemed very inexperienced and completely in over his head. We wanted to walk out, but we had already invested about 40 minutes into our quest for breakfast. The restaurant appears to have absolutely no management or completely incompetent management. We finally got our food around 11 am. It was awful. I don’t know how you can mess up eggs, potatoes, and pancakes, but they did. My husband and I are not very fussy, but we were blown away by how awful the experience was. It was actual comical. We spent the day talking about all the things we would rather do than go back to the Boathouse. It really was the worst restaurant experience that I can ever remember. It’s a shame because the location is perfect and the views are beautiful. I hope to see a sign one day that the restaurant is under new management. That is the only thing that would get us to go back there.

Like the hotel it is attached to, the Boathouse is decorated comfortably with a beautiful view of the lake. The menu is full of delicious options for brunch, lunch, or dinner and has a casual, comfortable atmosphere. Seating is available inside at tables, booths or at the bar as well as lakeside tables on the patio. The staff is friendly and attentive and the food is worth the visit and reasonably priced, we can’t wait for our next visit!

Beautiful restaurant with a great view. Our first morning, we were seated promptly and our watter and waitress were lovely. He offered to take our picture by the lake and opened the patio doors so we had the perfect view. Our breakfast was very good. My only criticism is that help was in short supply, it looked like only one person was working. The second morning, I ordered a mimosa and there was no bartender there to make it. But, the breakfast was ver good again.

What an aweful experience I just had. We had a party of 12, the waitress was absolutely nasty, the food took forever & when it came it was all way over cooked, under seasoned. Just terrible, absolutely terrible. SAVE YOUR MONEY & go elsewhere!

After many good trips here as a local, I have to say we would be extremely reluctant to go back. We went on the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend for lunch, and we’re surprised to see that the restaurant was fairly empty. There was a group of ~10 that walked in right before us and then one other table of 2, so we got seated right away. We wanted to sit outside, but regretted that decision as we were completely in the sun without shade and the outdoor tables do not have umbrellas as you’d expect (and it was a hot one!). I am not blaming them for this, it was our decision. However, after being given our menus, it took about 30 minutes to have our drink orders taken. Then another 30 to get our drinks- this took so long that the manager actually became our server. Our original waiter did not come back and actually made a few remarks that he was extremely sleep deprived, which made us feel guilty for going. The drink I got was disgusting, it was the tiger something? (Pinapple banana drink) that was described as being sweet, and it was everything but. We then placed a food order in another 30 minutes, then another 30 minutes for the food to come out. I will say the club sandwich was amazing!! 45 minutes after finishing our food, we still had not been checked on and we’re ready to go way before this point. I actually had to go up to the bar to ask to be checked out, where I got huge attitude from the middle aged blonde haired woman that usually works at the bar. No apologies for the wait or concern for needing to seek out how to pay, just attitude and acted as if she was too good to serve anyone. This is one of the poorest experienced we’ve had since being here, and unfortunately I wouldn’t recommend this establishment to anyone.

Just had dinner there tonight. Service was terrible. We got seated quickly as it was only half full. It took 20 minutes before we were offered a drink. When we finally got served, the food was OK, but expensive and the server never came back to offer us more drinks before we were done eating.

Great food and even better view. Our server was very friendly and attentive. Chipotle shrimp and aperol spritz were great. Was great to find a little foodie spot in the middle of nowhere.

It can be busy on holidays and weekends in the summer, but I’ve always received great service here. The food itself is wonderful. And, dining on the lake by sunset is always a beautiful touch.
