I was with my wife and parent in laws and we were hungry after a day of fishing. My in-laws recommended Bob’s barbecue instead of my original suggestion of Nick’s barbecue. This was my first time at Bob’s. Young lady at the register was nice and polite and took our orders. The food was ready pretty quickly maybe less than 10 minutes. Once I got the food i moticed it was room temp maybe even slightly cooler, almost as if the food had been sitting there for awhile. The tri-tater was new to me and I really enjoyed it asides from being slightly cold. The pork was good but a little on the dry side and like the majority of my food slightly cold. We also ordered the barbecue nachos without to share among our group. This was the one food item I truly did not like. The cheese had a weird taste, and the beans that were in the dish were more than likely canned beans. The building itself is small and cant support too many dine ins but was clean with a small tv and small tables to fit 3 or 4 people. There was a drain grate that was loose that i tripped on when i got up to grab a straw. I like to support small businesses and as this was my first time visiting this establishment I went with a 3 star rating as I intend to visit again to try it at least once more and make necessary adjustments to my review for fairness sake. I don’t live too far from there so should be visiting again soon.

I’m confused…I apologize to the owner, but this review is not a good one. Your staff were polite, but this establishment is confusing.

been coming here since moving here in 05 and tonight i am left with no other choice but to write this review. i only order the ribs (the bone is boss) and tonight’s order of half rack was quite possible the worst bbq i have ever had in all the years i have eaten ribs. they were tough and full of fat. the only thing they were not full of is rib bones. there were two small end cuts thats it. the taste was disgusting and the grill marks showed someone smashed them flat to the grill. i will not be eating here again and i will strongly urge anyone who has a taste for ribs to STAY AWAY from this establishment.

The potato salad was very good, the portions were very small for the price. The medium potato salad was only enough for one person. I guess the small would be the size of a salad dressing container. The Cole slaw was terrible, all I could taste was pepper and lettuce. We got the ribs and though they were good sized, they had no flavor, very bland and several pieces were burnt. This was a take away order. The ribs were also very dry. I was really hoping for a good BBQ place near us. The BBQ place next to Food Lion has great ribs but the guys attitude there sucks. Just can’t win with BBQ ribs around here.

Great food. Friendly service. And a cozy little mom and pop, small business dining area.

I’m reviewing this place right now because I live half an hour away (I recently lived about 5 minutes away) and I miss it. Damn. The loaded potatos here would make TWO meals for me. They are truly loaded with lots of everything. Other restaurants’ loaded potatos are a cruel joke compared to this place. Hell I might make the drive right now just to get one.

Ordered a picnic pack for a bereavement. They shoved 2 lbs. Of BBQ, backed beans, coleslaw, rolls, bag of chips in one bag. I asked for another paper bag so I could separate, hot, cold, and not be so heavy.
