They did move to a new location and I’m pretty shocked how empty the place was when I arrived. The scenery and the outside setting is just so beautiful It makes you forget that you’re in old Gretna. I did a to go order and I instantly regretted it once I seen the outside area but the food was so delicious fresh.

The sushi is always delicious. You can always tell that it is the freshest fish around. Hero is a master at his craft. Let’s not forget about the waitt staff. They are on top of things. The restaurant is a beautiful casual atmosphere that I will go back there whenever I can

The server was rude I ordered yakitori and Katsura-Don my rice was over cooked my egg was over cooked. I really didn’t feel welcome when I walked in to the restaurant. I will not be back. Please respect all of your guests.

First meal of the day. Got some sashimi squid eel and yellow tail. Added a glass of iced green tea and a squid salad. The green tea wasnt too strong and very drinkable. They seem to do alot of togo orders. The prices are pretty good. Wasabi always hit me pretty hard and this was no exeption. The r8ce bowl looks very good. I do recommend

First I ordered the Lobster roll. See menu below. It was supposed to be lobster and not have any snow crab salad. Instead it had hardly any lobster on it and was mostly snow crab salad. When I inquired I was told I was wrong about ingredients. We agreed to pay for it. Also the website says they close at 3 pm. we got there at 2 and at 2:30 we wanted to order something additional since I didn’t like the lobster roll. They said the kitchen had closed at 2:30 even though they didn’t advise us in advance it was closing.

I have never really made a review, I’m not generally in the habit of it, however, THIS PLACE IS WONDERFUL. ABSOLUTELY HANDS DOWN. The rolls were fresh, and the flavors were super well balanced. I 100% recommend the Hana roll and the Kimchee Tuna roll. The seaweed salad is phenomenal, as well. The server staff were all totally great. We sat at the sushi bar and the head chef was there, and he was a total joy to converse with. This is absolutely going to be our date night spot from here on out.

My husband and I drove past this little place the other day and decided we may want to try it out soon, as we love sushi and Japanese food overall. The very next day we contemplated going there for lunch. Before deciding on it, I wanted to check the reviews of it to make sure it is any good. Of course, 9 out of 10 reviews are very positive. Then there’s this hilarious guy Ahmad Mohammad.. He cracked us up, and we told ourselves that he is the reason we are going to try Cafe Zen out for lunch! If you haven’t read it, please do. To get to the review: A very fresh and adorable little restaurant. We had a great waitress (and we did absolutely NOT get to pay extra for the “refuels”, haha!) I ordered the chicken teriyaki (a massive bento) while my husband got the sushi special (which I wanted as well, but I figured it would be nice to test out more than one meal if we really wanted to know the quality of what they offer on the menu!) … Verdict: we love it. Huge and super fresh looking and tasting meals! Since we live less than 5 minutes away, this is gonna become a weekly habit for us, yay! 🙂
