Although I’ve patronized this place a few times in the past, most times the food has ranged from not so good, to good. But, let me tell you about my most recent visit! My staff and I, craved “Roti”. And, since one of our clients suggested a particular shop near “Caribean spot”, I attempted to FIND it. However, I settled upon Caribean Spot, because I was unable to find the place we were initially looking for! My friend and i, go in.. Woman took our order. 4 Chicken Roti. She proceeds to take out the 4 pita breads, place on counter and fill with several pieces of chicken . She then begins to wrap them up. So I ask. ..please put potato and Chana (chick peas). “We don’t have potatoes nor chana).” Now. ..we can see that she’s showing signs of agitation) My friend (upon learning they don’t have core ingredients), decides he doesn’t want a Roti (and I don’t blame him). The ONLY reason I didn’t change my mind…. I didn’t want things to escalate into a confrontation! But I’ve NEVER heard of Amy place selling Roti, and that Roti consisting SOLEY of meat wrapped in pita bread. Moving forward I decided to add rice to the Roti to substitute for the potatoes. “Rice is extra”! She snaps (she’s clearly more upset now)! Long story longer….We get back to the Barbershop. First of all…. the chicken tasted good. But I can’t consider this a Roti. And, I’ve had DOZENS. I used to live in Richmond Hill, aka Baby Guyana, Trinidad, and Pakistan. There’s no better place to buy (among other caribean food), ROTI! Shoutout to “Mr Singhs Roti Shop”!!! My point I’ve had some amazing Roti’s!!! And, THIS WASNT CLOSE! It was horrible! I ate maybe 3 or 4 bites. The wrap itself must’ve been old, because the crushed chicken peas (or chana), between the bread was actually DRY!!!! I’ve never had a more horrible tasting Roti. After spending almost $50 on horrible food, it’s safe to deduce, I will not be patronizing THIS store again! And the RUDE TREATMENT from the server pretty much SEALED the deal! Oh….. before I forget….While the woman was ringing up my food, an older woman came in, approached the counter, next to me and began asking the woman who did her hair? Can you do my hair? Etc etc, on and on… These two women had a WHOLE CONVERSATION ABOUT HAIR, while she’s ringing up my food. Not once did either of them say “excuse me”, or MORE APPROPRIATELY…..”Excuse me….please let me finish with this customer”. Just RUDE! I’m praying she didn’t make a mjstake!!! $57 seems excessive for 3 roti, and an order of Curry chicken, with rice & peas! Imo. They won’t have to worry about seeing my face again! I work too hard for my money to GIVE it away for BAD food, with the MATCHING BAD ATTITUDE…Oh… and, BAD HAIRDO TO MATCH!!!!! Smh!

The staff are friendly, I was greeted and treated well. I got the Stew Chicken and it was delicious. I should have taken a picture but I ate it so quickly. Also ordered a Spicy Beef Patty, very flaky and delicious as well. 10/10

The food was horrible, the oxtails were tough & the peas & rice was tasteless & I never tasted a gravy that bad. If you don’t get a new cook soon, you will definitely be out of business. You won’t be getting any more business from us!

The food is typically very good but the customer service is terrible. On 3/1/2022 @5pm to be exact I had 2 of the rudest servers everrrrr. They were not the regular ladies that typically work there. Both had a nasty attitude. Not good for business at all. So for that they get 1 star.

I love this spot there food is very good only thing you gotta get there early. The prices did go up but I understand that everything else went up and to stay in business you have to go with the flow. I have never had a issue with them. And I will keep supporting them. Because the food is good.

The food is not good, it doesn’t taste like it was seasoned either. The sauce also stained my new nail set and new shirt I had on.. I won’t be going back. And it is too expensive for the amount of food they like to give.

By far the best Jamaican food on Long Island. I moved to this area 2 years ago and was driving back to Queens to buy food because I couldn’t find a good spot. I tried Hummingbird (absolutely disgusting), Jackee’s (No good), & a spot on 112 (subpar). The service is great and the food even better. Anyone who says different, clearly has no clue what good authentic Jamaican food taste or even smells like.
