This is a local gem! Service is always friendly and the food is delicious. It is small, but that’s part of its charm. Definitely call ahead to make a reservation just to make sure you can snag a table for the night. And save room for dessert!

Truly a gem of a restaurant. First time here and have experienced nearly every restaurant in this area and can’t believe I’ve missed out on opportunities to eat delicious and authentic Italian food with the absolute best service. My friends and I came to celebrate a birthday dinner and couldn’t have envisioned celebrating in any other neighborhood restaurant as cozy as this. We had the pleasure of being served by Shelli, and were enthralled with her kindness, courteousness and enthusiasm to share the deliciousness that is everything my friends group ordered. The night enjoying good company over delicious food was one that I look forward to replicating many more times to come. We found out after dinner and thanking the server for the wonderful services that she is also a part owner and engaged with her about the background of the restaurant. It feels so nice to be introduced to a restaurant for the community that desires to connect to people of the community. As this long raving review should indicate, Carmelo’s is a must!

Definitely a quaint little place, very good atmosphere. The wait staff was extremely nice. Sausage ravioli with spot on. The only thing they need to do is cut back on the amount of crushed tomatoes in there tomato sauce topping. Literally a whole can of tomatos.

My first visit here was a few weeks after they opened, soon after I moved to Minnesota. I’ve been back time and time again. Food? Delicious! Service? Exemplary! Atmosphere? Warm and inviting! Value? Outstanding! I go back because I love and live near this place and I feel comfortable there. I’ve read all the reviews, including the few unpleasant ones. I don’t know what the underlying unhappy peoples’ problems are, and frankly don’t care. People are certainly entitled to their opinions, and I think it speaks more to the character of the minority complainers and their attitudes then about the eatery. I’m glad they’re going elsewhere. More opportunities for me.
