Loved the food, and the servers were very helpful. I went with my husband and 2 kids. I ordered the smothers catfish and I got it grilled! It taste really good! My husband got the shrimp and grits and he loved it. My kids got the breakfast food, eggs, bacon, grits, chocolate chip pancakes and the sausage. They loved it!

Delicious soul food ! Tasted like grandmas home made cooking I love this place ! I definitely recommend and I will be back for sure. Great service and the food was served quick as well. The food is tasty and the service is top tier. Walked in, never been here before and ordered red beans and rice, boudin link, and peach cobbler. Everything was amazing. For those who drink, they have a fully stocked bar. I was saddened to see there were not a lot of people here. I’d you haven’t been, make sure you stop in.

The food was ok! some was a bit over seasoned some was a little unser seasoned. but it was ok I will say I loved the music and atmosphere the staff was supper friendly and welcoming and the complimentary wine is amazing. I had the fried pork chops, gumbo, greens, with rice and gravy. I would definitely give them another try. I have seen a lot of reviews on this place so I am glad I came out and gave them a taste!

Finger Lickin’ Good! The customer service and food was great. Ordered: Hot Boudin, Swamp Fries, Shrimp Po’boy, Chicken N Waffles (tenders), Spicy Smothered Shrimp with garden salad, Beef tips w/ Mac n cheese and Dirty Rice, and to finish it all off with Peach Cobbler Alamo. Our waitress was so chilled just from hearing us talk to eachother she began calling us by name. This was our first time, we tried a little of everything and the food is to die for. Even the water was great 🙂 We will be returning!

Food was on point. We had Blackened catfish and shrimp, Gumbo, crawfish cornbread, bread pudding and drinks. Seasoned well especially the blackened catfish and shrimp. The taste of that bread pudding took me back as well. First time here and will not be the last.

I really enjoyed our lunch here. The atmosphere was inviting and the music was nostalgic. This is the perfect black owned spot for Great food and great vibes. And if you’re wondering what to get the Beef Tips was EVERYTHING!! Also the fried chicken is well seasoned so you can’t go wrong with either.

Let me start by saying the atmosphere and music is amazing, love the nice touch of music playing throughout the restaurant, it felt like Louisiana on Bourbon street! The owner was nice/ professional and stopped by the table to ask how the food was, which was also another nice aspect of our meal. The food was spectacular with the chicken fried steak being one of the best chicken fried steaks I have ever had! I am glad my boyfriend and I stopped by for lunch.
