The customer service was totally what you’d love to experience at every establishment. They were all wonderful. The atmosphere was clean and friendly. The salads were delicious. The Cuban sandwich was good. We were not fond of the authentic tamales. Maybe we were expecting the taste to be like traditional Mexican tamales. Otherwise, this place is a nice place to eat.

The place looks a little deserted from the outside, but it is a cute place to hang out! Staff were very friendly and helpful. The tamales and the empanadas were delicious! (Highly recommend the tamales) the smoked salmon crepe was VERY cheesy, a bit too much for me. Otherwise I really enjoyed it!

Cecilias is a wonderful break from the many standard quick service, high tempo restaurants around Asheville. They offer a calm sophisticated feeling atmosphere and a tempting menu mix that includes French and Latin dishes.

The experience of dining outside with the sun shining was fabulous. The patio is large, plenty of space, and the tables are cute. If they ever throw a block party style event here, it would be so cool, the location is perfect.

The staff is well versed with the cuisine and extremely friendly. The atmosphere is not too loud with beautiful music in the background. we sat by the window and enjoyed the sun going down while enjoying a delicious bottle of French wine, and a lovely meal. The French onion soup is superb!

We arrived just before noon, only one other table ws occupied. We ordered right away, quietly chatting until we received our soup about 10 minutes later and then sat almost 45 mins waiting on crepes. Crepes take very little time to make. We didn’t ask for anything special. Waitress never checked back with us at any time other than to pick up the empty soup bowl. No eye contact. She didn’t ask us how we liked the soup or if we needed a coffee refill. It was as if we were invisible! Just swept up the soup bowl and walked away. While we waited the restaurant gradually filled up. When my husband told the waitress we were leaving she didn’t say anything and just went up to the pickup counter with her back to us. No one tried to apologize or entice us to remain. No mention of our order. Needless to say we won’t be back.

I was invited by a friend to join him at Cecilia’s Kitchen for a lunch of crêpes. I had never been before. This restaurant is newly located on Merrimon just in front of the SavMor grocery and across the street from Grace Episcopal Church.

My friend and I decided to come here based on pictures and other reviews but that was a mistake. The food was almost inedible and overpriced for the portion size. The table was right beside a door with a cold draft. The only redeeming quality is the atmosphere, the food is not good.
