Really good food, I think it definitely deserves the name of best Mexican food in the city. The sever was also really nice and answered any questions and gave pretty good recommendations. I had the lunch flautas, which were so good, and it was just the right amount of food for a great price.

Friend of mine told me about Taco Tuesday at Chavez. Service was very good and servers came to a table often. I got the six street tacos, three chicken three steak. The tacos were very bland and used salsa and other condiments to kick it up.

The staff at Chavas was friendly and the atmosphere was standard for a Mexican restaurant. We were a party of six and half of us were satisfied with our meal while the other half was not (not much flavor was the main complaint). It took a long time to receive our check but this may have been because some of the food wasn’t silly eaten.

I usually like this place but the owner was kind o f rude. My friend spent a fortune to get food for her and her family burritos for 8 6ppl plus two 4pc for she and I. Not impressed. For one the corn tortillas were big but hardly any meat in them. Not good in size or flavor I felt like it was just thrown together. We had to ask for condiments, ask for our drinks we purchased and get what was supposed to be on her tacos, needed to be included to our dismay the above requested was given by the manager with agitation. Need to do better manger. That’s why your restaurant is empty at dinnertime, when it should have been Full. You need better service if your gonna serve bad food. At the least the experience could have been good since the food wasn’t.

I’m sad that Chavas is so bad. I go there all the time, but I’ve finally had enough. They have what I want, but their service is very poor. Their turn over rate is very high, half their waitresses are really rude for some reason. I’ve had many issues with wrong orders but this last one is the worst. I had to go back twice to fix my order. The drive is 40 min there and back, and I made it three times. I told them I wanted my food right and a full refund. This is the first time I’ve asked for a refund. The manager said all he could do was give me my food, and a half refund because: “Well, you’re gonna eat the food, right?”. If I had only come back once that might be fair, but I had to come back twice. This, on top of changing the portion size of salsa to a third of what a large was and keeping it at the same price of about $3.50, has put the final nail in the coffin for my business with Chavas, Muskogee.

I’ve always ordered chavas on door dash and it was delicious. I decided to go in and eat with my kids and the food was mediocre at best. I don’t know if they have a new cook or what but some of the things I ordered I didn’t even get the correct items.

This was a recommended place from a friend as a lunch stop during a motorcycle ride. It looks non discript but awesome once inside. Clean, smelled delicious all at once was politely welcomed and told to sit where we wanted. Very quick a nice waitress showed up asked if we knew what we wanted. I explained it was our first time and we were unfamiliar with the menu. Well let me tell you something, she dropped at least a 40+ item menu and n is and a drink menu. I could make this really long but here’s the condensed version, amazing and hot, quick but not super quick (time enough to smash the fresh free chips and salsa) not too much not too little. Now for the best part, after all this is over I’ve finished my beer but left 3 bites behind as did the wife. Tip and all for lunch was 23 USD!!!!!
