I’ve gotten takeout from this restaurant that I loved – one of the few places I’ve found in the area that makes rice noodle soup. I got the seafood noodle soup and it was delicious and filling. They gave us a menu with our takeout, and I noticed they did hot pot, which I’ve always been wanting to try. They gave us so much food – 4 types of meats, noodles, bok choy, daikon, lotus root, white rice and condiments to make our own dipping sauces. My only complaint is that it was too much food and I felt bad leaving it behind! They give you two broths – one spicy, one not. The service was also really great, and the restaurant owner came around to our tables and checked on us. Definitely going to come back over and over again!

We really enjoyed our experience there. We found the staff very helpful in deciding what to order. This is Szechuan so it’s quite spicy. The dry pot was probably one of our favorite dishes. We also enjoyed the bun appetizer dish!It was not cheap however we did drop around $100 for three people! We did have some leftovers though. I was not impressed by their wonton soup I probably would not order that again! It was very lacking in taste and fun things inside!

Delicious fried tofu and vegetables and very generous portions. They are flexible to add things to the dish. I asked for bok choy and they did it. Highly recommend this place!!!

My family and I love Cheng Du. We always get the eggplant fries and fish in spicy chili sauce. The food tastes authentic and the spice levels are to be taken seriously! The owner is incredibly sweet as well. It’s a go-to restaurant for us when we’re in the West end.

Really enjoyed this place. Most of the stuffs we ordered all came out really good. There wasn’t anything we didn’t like. The service was alright, I little slow on the good but it was worth it at the end. I would recommend ppl to this place if they like spices but if you can’t take spice at all then I don’t think this would be the place for you. They also use a lot of chili oil so if you don’t like too much oil this is also not a place for you.

This is hands down the best Chinese restraunt in Richmond. What makes it the best? The flavor of these dishes! Wow is all I can say! The spices and choice of fresh vegetables are insanely flavorful and well pared. Normally to get such flavorful food I have to go to one of the 5 star places in Scotts Addition or Short Pump. Also, the staff and owners are kind and always happy to see me and my family. Pictured below is the salty pork(my favorite dish), fried dumplings, pork dumplings, General Tso’s chicken and Honey Chicken.
