WTF. I only came here because of the other reviews, but this food was horrible. Shrimp fried rice was yellow rice with onions and shrimp.Thats it. Carb Rangoon was the texture of runny snot. I’m from Chicago so maybe they just have lower standards for Chinese food in Marion. I’ve had the real thing and the American version Chinese food and this place failed by both standards.

I’ve been eating at China Wok probably since it opened- around 2002/2003 maybe? It’s always my go-to for carry-out Chinese. It’s just so good, so fresh that nothing else around Marion/Carbondale area compares. Their prices are great, the food portions so large, and the family who run it are just about the nicest people you will meet.

We’ve been patronizing China Wok for years, so obviously we like it, or we wouldn’t keep coming back. In an area that doesn’t have a ton of restaurant options, this place is pretty good. Having grown up in the Chicago suburbs and lived in the Orlando area for ten years, I’ve had better Chinese many times. But for southern Illinois, China Wok it’s about as good as it gets for takeout Chinese food. I really like the beef broccoli and chicken mushrooms, both with the fried rice. The wife likes the sesame chicken, sweet and sour chicken and we both like the crab rangoons. The egg rolls are okay also, but I prefer spring rolls.

We have ordered here several times but this time was terrible! We ordered sesame chicken and it was so tough that we couldn’t eat it. I have always loved their crab rangoon, but every one of them were burnt. Very disappointing!

The place looks dingy and dirty, but its really not. The staff is super friendly and the food is really good. I wish they would add sushi to their menu, but overall I love ordering food from them. They food is pretty cheap too with a lot of selections.

Very dissatisfied with their service. My house normally loves their food so we tried there new delivery system. Order was placed around 8pm and set to deliver at 9. At 8:45 the order was cancelled unexpectedly. I call to find out why my order was cancelled without reason only to find out it was cancelled because there was no delivery driver there for the night. I then asked if I could just come pick up my order since I figured it was almost done again 15 min before delivery but he said the order was already cancelled and I would be charged again. At this point I just said forget it. The best part is they say the money won’t be returned to my card for 3-10 business days. Won’t be ordering here again if service is this low.
