Excellent joint! I enjoyed the wings, rib tips, baked beans, and potato salad. The owner, Ronnie, was a great guy! My buddy and I talked with Ronnie about the wrestling business and some of his stories. When I told him that I was visiting and heading to Midway Airport later that evening, he insisted on giving me a bottle of the Ronnie Lottz Route 66 Sauce. Fantastic guy! I highly recommend supporting this local business!

The last time I was here was several years ago before the dark times lol, I recently went back with a friend the other day for the first time and we had a great time. The wings were phenomenal, they had many of my favorite beers on draft, and they were playing a 80’s horror movie. The first time I ever set foot in Cigars and Stripes, was the Halloween Party of 2012. My then partner and I came early, sat at the bar, and started watching whatever horror flick they had on at the time. Suddenly I heard footsteps immediately behind me, and felt cold. I looked back and saw nobody. As soon as I looked up at the screen, I saw a yellow/green “orb” appear and disappear in front of the screen. I thought I was losing it until my partner asked if I saw the orb. Then I realized the rumors of it being haunted were true. (No I’m not crazy lol).

If you love rock and roll and motorcycles. This is absolutely the place for you. Not a biker bar but certainly gives off those vibes. As far as the food goes. I have been across the globe eating at anywhere from Mike’s food truck to Michelin star restruaunts. These wings… were by FAR the ABSOLUTE BEST I have EVER had in my life. If you think you’ve had good wings. You’re wrong. Wingstop. KFC. Churches. Bdubs. They are all dollar store quality compared to these wings. There isn’t anything better than this. This is one of those places that they do a select few things and they do them right. To the owner. Whatever the hell you are doing. Keep doing it and never stop. I want to take my future grandkids here one day.
