I’ve been going here more years than most people have been alive. The building is beginning to show its age, but the food and dairy desserts are excellent. The staff was friendly and hard working. Very efficient and worked well together as a team.

It’s a nice spot in worthington where lots of families and kids go to get a quick bite or an ice cream cone, however if you’re not a local in the area basking in the sun, this is not the place to go to for a quick eat. The line was long, the workers were slow, only one person was cooking, a young man there had holes throughout his work shirt, it was just not the place to be. I waited 15+ minutes for my food. If I didn’t have to go to work the wait wouldn’t have bothered me as much but I ended up being late because it took so long. Other dairy queens are faster with the same amount of employees.

What is With today?
If I could give this location zero stars and still be able to leave a review, I would. I went there today around 3:40pm. I was with someone and we ordered separately. He wanted the 2 for 5 mix and match, a chili dog and a fry. The young woman who was on the cash register said “the fries were broken” so she asked “you want onion rings?” I seen the guy in the back put fries in the fryer. She rang him up for 2 chili dogs and an order of onion rings, and he didn’t want all that. He was trying to explain it to her however she seemed really high off weed or something. I wanted the 2 for 5 mix and match, the strawberry sundae and a slushy. She said they were out of slushies and rang me up for 2 sundaes. At that point it was easier to just get that food and leave. They didn’t have an “adult” or someone who seemed in charge around to talk to. Usually this location rocks but today it was a huge miss and failure. Also it was filthy inside and gross.

I love a good dairy queen trip. Tonight my boyfriend and I stopped in for a dipped cone and banana split. We (and another party) waited over 15 mins and multiple people got their orders (more complicated) before ours. Finally the kid who took our order came up and said he forgot. We waited another 10 mins. The kid who dipped my cone, did one dunk and handed it to me. The ice cream wasn’t even completely covered and started melting. The other kid who made my bf’s split, used his bare hands without washing them to place the banana into the bowl. We couldn’t get out of there soon enough and won’t be back in the near future. $8 for salmonella is a steal here.

Sanitation by the employees is very questionable, they don’t wear gloves and it was mentioned to a corporate person and the same Sanitation procedure is still the same. What can you expect though from teenage employees.?

Who doesn’t enjoy a visit to DQ every now and then? The Worthington Dairy Queen on 23 is terrific. Beautiful, non-modern looking structure with all the great DQ fare you expect inside. Good efficient service as well.

Classic dairy queen! Great foot long hot dogs with sauce & cheese. Chunky hot French fries and thick shakes. Can get busy but staff mives pretty quivk. Picnic tables outside are the only “eat in ” options.
