Who are we and what do we know?
DAMO BBQ is Danny and Maggie Orlando and we grew up across the street from each other in Villa Park, IL. Danny has been a Carpenter for over 2+ decades and I have a Full time job and a bachelor’s degree in science, Psychology. No, we don’t have food backgrounds, but both of us come from BIG families.
Danny is the baby of 6 and I am the baby of 8; that means we know how to appease to the masses. This is what grew our interest in exploring a food business. Danny learned to cook from his Italian father, Bob, and has taken a passion for cooking with his own spin. He has been cooking for over 20+ years for family and friends. We believe our food has our heart in it and are ready to serve it to you!

They have the best ribs of any bbq joint in town. Super nice people and even offered to accommodate me with not being able to have sugar, if I called ahead. This was when they were food truck only, but I am super excited they now have a store front. We will be regulars for sure

Recently stopped in and ordered the brisket meal to go. The brisket I ordered was a 1/4 piece of brisket that was cold, the rest of the brisket was solid fat. Probably the worst brisket I have ever had. The Mac & cheese was cold as well and not appetizing. Would not recommend this BBQ joint to anyone.

I’ve had DAMO many many times, they have the BEST bbq and service around hands down every single time! I’ve had pretty much everything on their menu it’s all delicious. Their catering service is phenomenal and they are just overall some of the kindest most hard working people I’ve met. Check them out!

Tried DAMO at 4’th of July fest. Pretty pricey not what I’m used to at this location, but things are different after Covid I guess. I tried brisket and pork. I’d rate them both at average. For the money average doesn’t cut it. The owner seemed to have a bit of arrogance about him as I watched him interact. That didn’t leave a good taste in my mouth.
