Service was amazing!! Very attentive but not at all to the point of annoying. The staff definitely wants you to enjoying your dinner. Our server was an older gentleman with an accent and he was superb! We asked for recommendations for dinner and wine pairing and he suggested just the perfect combo. And his detail on every item just made you mouth water!

De Medici in the Gaslamp District of San Diego is one of the classic Italian staples in the area! It takes you back to an old world feel that you don’t get to experience in many places. The service was top notch thanks to our fantastic waiter Kennum, he was so friendly and just an all around great guy. The food was excellent; we enjoyed the canneloni appetizer with a delicious vodka sauce to start followed by an exquisite table side Caesar than Kennum prepared, and had the lobster ravioli and chicken Marsala for dinner. The tiramisu, which is homemade, was a classic!! Highly recommend for a quality Italian dinner!!

Staff was very friendly and welcoming. After perusing the menu and hearing recommendations I had to go with the sole portofino. Hands down one of the best dishes I’ve ever had in my life. First of all the portion is big enough for two to share. The fish was perfectly cooked and the crab and lobster filling was absolutely mouth watering. The twice baked potatoes were so tasty and the vegetables were the perfect finishing touch.

Food was decent enough, but I don’t think the quality matched the prices. They had no pastas with chicken, which I found odd. They added some for me, making it a $25ish pasta dish.
