Delicious food and many gluten-free options are available. The chicken parmesan was amazing. The calamari was perfect and gluten-free so my wife could enjoy it as well. I suggest a reservation the restaurant is on the small side but well worth multiple visits to try all the different delicious items on the menu like veal and steak or cheese ravioli for the vegetarians

Overall, our experience was disappointing. Despite some tasty dishes and great service, there were serious problems with some entrees we ordered, on top of waiting for over an hour. I’ll divide our experience into the good and bad aspects.

The service is great, as are the appetizers. They list filets as 3 of their eleven entrees, but have not had any steaks the last two times we have been there. That was very disappointing. We were there before 8:00 both times.

Great new family spot for my sons and I. Introduced my 13 year old to Calamari and now he is addicted. All of our entrées were good. We chose lasagna, Shrimp Scampi and Chicken Parmigiana.

My date and I neither one are huge pasta fans but so much wanted to visit DiFabio’s Casapela because it seems so quaint and inviting from the outside. The evening we visited we sat on the porch, which had been enclosed and had a space heater. The setting and ambiance were ideal. We ordered as an appetizer the calamari fritti. It was tasty. My date ordered the veal marsala with the mushroom, Marsala wine and cream sauce served over angel hair pasta. I ordered grilled aioli salmon with sauteed squash and zucchini. I thoroughly enjoyed my vegetables which were perfectly cooked, and I enjoyed the taste of the salmon which was presented with an excellent temperature and a rewarding taste. My date felt the veal was undercooked so sent it back to be cooked longer and upon receiving it the second time was satisfied. However, either because she and I are not familiar with the dish or otherwise, we felt the sauce had been cooked too long and left an unpleasant almost bitter taste to the her Marsala veal meal – and that was even before she sent it back. She felt the sauce ruined the meal even when the veal she thought was undercooked. My date ate her dinner reluctantly only not to waste it, but it was not a pleasant experience for her. I, too, did not enjoy the taste of her meal and I felt bad for her. We were both very hungry upon arriving to DiFabio’s Casapela. She asked that we order tiramisu so she could have a good taste to close out her meal, but we were both disappointed with the tiramisu because it tasted as though it had been frozen and then thawed too quickly and had kind of a watery texture with the cake cookies that was not typical of the tiramisu she and I typically very much enjoy. I did thoroughly enjoy my meal but I cannot say the same about my date – maybe it’s because we don’t know just how the Masala dish is supposed to taste.

Great little place with excellent food. I have been here many times and have never been disappointed. Thursdays, they have half priced bottles of wine.

This cozy spot is perfect for a casual, delicious Italian meal. The food is authentic homemade Italian. Dinner for 6, or dinner for 2, it’s just right. The atmosphere is warm and friendly.

I should have taken a pic. I forgot. But next time I will. I had the best steak I have ever had in my life!! I was sooo beyond amazed and each person at my table tried it and was like omg it is sooooo good!! It has a cream sauce under it and gorgonzola cheese crumbles and roasted zucchini squash. Oh lord it was soooo perfect . I have raved about it to anyone that would listen today lol and so has my friend. 10000 % recommended to anyone!!!

Terrific food! Solid wine list, and some very nice specialty drinks. Relaxed family friendly atmosphere but nice enough for a date night. Our only minor complaints were the lack of parking, we had to park several blocks away, and service was a bit slow. Servers were very friendly but appeared to be short handed. As to the food, the bruschetta was different but excellent. Likewise, with the caprese pasta and shrimp. The veal marsala was exceptional, probably the best we have ever had. An all around great experience.
