Somehow I found this place and I’m so glad I did. The servers were very professional and respectful, they even recommended their favorite hot dogs. They have regular ones, and then other types for those feeling more adventurous. Hot dogs were delicious! Thank you so much for everything, I’ll definitely be back!

This quaint family run joint has been around for nearly 50 years. Dougs Hotdogs in Ocean View serves hotdogs, soups, sides, and sandwiches. With an interesting assortment of toppings. You can choose from a beef dog or a local made in Norfolk dog that is not all beef but still delicious. And top it simply with cheese or go all out and add mac and cheese. I got the suicide dog topped with cheese jalapeños and cheetos. It was wasn’t as spicy as I wanted but it hit the spot. Rodney ordered soup and a chilli dog. The soup was hearty and chunky. The broth was well seasoned without being salty. We left full and happy and didn’t spend a ton of money. This joint is small on the inside but you can order delivery or to go. Also the customer service was great. The ladies behind the counter made us feel welcome. These folks are doing dogs right. Its worth a stop if you enjoy a decent hotdog and the prices are reasonable.
