Entering into Duke City BBQ what is immediately clear is that the owner recognizes that setting the right mood can be just as important as serving good food. The ambiance evokes southern themes and the country music (which I am normally not a fan of but in this case it works well) makes a potential customer forget for a moment that they are only a major street away from Cliff’s Amusement Park.

We average eating here about every 2 weeks. The food is consistently delicious. Absolutely love the bbq sauce, sandwich buns, the 505 potato, fried okra, and creamed corn. We’ll continue to eat here bi-weekly!

I ride my bicycle past this place weekly and I decided to stop in. I’m glad that I did. I ordered a pork spare ribs, cream corn, and bbq beans. Everything was tasty and fresh. I’ve missed this place for six months, what a mistake. Next time I’ll try the chicken, brisket and sausage. Duke City BBQ is arguably the local BBQ in ABQ. Fast and friendly service. A very clean restaurant. Go check them out.

If you’re hungry and craving some amazing barbecue, you NEED to head on down to Duke City BBQ. This was my first time trying and this place and will definitely not be my last. First off, the crew is amazing! We were welcomed with smiling faces and a sample of some delicious sausage! The staff is passionate about what they do and it’s beautiful to see.

Amazing BBQ in ABQ. We can always judge a BBQ place based on the need for sauce. This place does it right and doesn’t need sauce to make it better/tolerable. If you need it, both the regular and spicy sauces were great. We preferred the spicy sauce.
