Ordered.. waiting.. salsa very pleasing . Gauc..salsa.. good. Chips are a little tough to eat. Thick tortillas with added spice on it gives a little distinct taste zesty. Seasoning on my vegetables are a little too much seasoning.. tad bit salty. Steak good. Portion a little light. Enchilada are pretty good. Fries were zesty too. The price u decide…

Food was mediocre. Pricing based on location not the food itself. Guacamole appears to be premade and lacked flavor. Chips were a bit stale. Flautas advertised as spicy but very mild. Two of the different tacos tasted almost identical. The escabeche had the most flavorful and was the best part of the meal.

Their Poloma Margarita and Lime Margarita are good but nothing too special. Their Shrimp Cocktail, however, is the definition of special. Nothing like we’ve ever tried – it is delicious. Their tacos were good and the dessert Bunuelo Ice Cream Sundae was fantastic! The service is also exceptional! We will definitely eat here again.

A truly memorable dining experience is marked by three crucial elements: delectable food, dedicated staff, and an enticing ambiance – El Callejon excels in all three, creating an atmosphere where every visit is a treat.

Very disappointing! We went here because of the ratings. It was 5:30 on a Saturday so we got a table right away. It’s a cute restaurant and our waiter was nice. We ordered drinks first. I ordered a cucumber margarita which was great and my husband ordered a beer. The waiter apologized that the beer he ordered wasn’t available, no big deal, he ordered a different beer. After the drinks came, we ordered the combination appetizer plate to share. The waiter said right away that the were out of jalapeno poppers. We asked for extra wings and he said that would be fine. Then he came back and said they were out of wings. At that point we were fed up. We paid for our drinks and left. It’s not good for a popular restaurant to be out of so many menu items so early on a Saturday night.

The absolute best homemade salsas I had while in Santa Fe. Plus, their homemade flan was exceptional. If you’re at the bar, hopefully you’ll get to meet Raul as he takes great care of all the customers. 10/10 food and service.
