I have been looking for a place that has delicious birria on the weekends. I’m so happy I found El Patron! It’s hard to find authentic birria in the suburbs but they definitely changed that for me. Birria was a dish that I grew up on and being able to find good places that make it is hard. I ordered a small amount to go so I could try and I am not disappointed.

Understaffed; felt like I created more work for them in their kitchen sink asking for a plate & a spoon; prices are fair though; has loud & never-ending beeping restaurant equipment sometimes; had to ask for water halfway through the meals on occasion; just a strange vibe, they are nice though; they will get you what you want; I don’t even have to Google how to say stuff in Spanish now; it’s just a slow line; trying to be patient or avoid the rush.

I must say, I’ve wanted to try this location for awhile. I went yesterday to experience taco Tuesday. I ordered 6 steak tacos with clinantro/onion. I asked for cheese she wanted charge 50 cent per taco. Moving on, I got home the steak was burnt, lacked any authentic Mexican flavor and had so much fat it was disgusting. I literally got sick immediately after trying to make the best of it. I was starving! I will Never go back to this establishment again.

I’ve been here b4, but today I got the opportunity to do a review. Patron is a nice cozy place, the prices are good AND the steak tacos are delicious. One of these days I will try out something else from the menu, pretty sure other selections are delicious too because I see people in and out for pickup and also dining inside. Thanks to the cook with the pony tail .
