Over the last 20 years I have gone to the fairground Cafe off-and-on once in awhile hoping that the food will get better. I have asked for years could you please get some jalapenos but no they never have jalapenos. I have had friends that have been waitresses and waiters but the food pretty much stays the same. Look some people love the fairground Cafe. It’s just that their style of it’s not what I prefer. The waitresses don’t seem happy. And I do know that they have hired some questionable Cook’s and there’s been lots of rumors over a suspicious activity over the years but alas Fair ground Cafe I’m sorry but you really should invest because there are many many people who love to go out to eat and have a side of jalapenos or jalapenos put in their omelettes

such a cute little cafe. has a family atmosphere and the staff are very friendly and attentive, not to mention the food was delicious. there was even live music when we went which was lovely! the bathroom was also super clean which i think is very telling about the quality of a restaurant. you won’t regret going!

I live locally and regularly eat here. Not because there is anything outstanding about it but because it is reliable and consistent, has booths, is relatively clean and I rarely have to wait long for a table. The waitstaff are friendly and experienced and you will get your food quickly and it will be correct. I typically go here for breakfast food but they also have an extensive lunch and dinner menu. Omelets are good, classic bacon or sausage egg and home fries or hash browns is solid. Don’t get an English muffin. I think they grill them straight from frozen and they are soggy on one side. If you are looking for a solid diner type experience, you won’t be disappointed. Decor is basic, some booths have weirdly high seats and some tables rock back and forth but bathrooms are clean and stocked. Breakfast all day (or until they close which is often 2pm-make sure to look at hours, which seem to be correctly updated online.)

They overcooked the home fries. You could not even eat some of them. But the steak and cheese omelet was very good! The waitress was nice and funny!

The food was delicious. Breakfast, lunch or Dinner. My omelette was very good. The raisin toast was delicious. The cafe was well organized and friendly staff. The prices were reasonable. The service was friendly and helpful. You can get to go or eat outside at the tables. I will go back.

I had my usual which is steak and eggs and it was pretty good. My only complaint was I felt like nothing was seasoned. Service was great and very comfy environment

Been going for over 12 years. Last 2 meals were mediocre. Went in today because usual place wasn’t open. Hashbrowns were raw and toast was just soggie bread. Told the waitress and she only took 10% off my meal for 1/2 ny meal that wasn’t edible. Will not be back.

Food was good (had breakfast there) service was great (waitress was on point, my age, and cute) atmosphere…let’s just say that it was pretty dark and spooky at 0730 am with all the carnival stuff they have around the place. Otherwise, another great diner in the state of Maine.
