Oh man. Really wanted to love this place. The flavor just wasn’t where we wanted it to be. And definitely not at the price point. The vibes? Immaculate. And the host is an incredible human. The energy was very Dimes Square. We got the Baywatch Platter- the shrimp were incredibly hard to peel weren’t cleaned properly (the intestinal tract ) the Sicilian crudo had no flavor but the oysters were phenomenal. For $90 we needed everything to sing in our mouths. The tostada had great crunch super fresh seafood but flavor-wise not 100. The lobster roll was okay also lacked flavor. Perfectly cooked lobster though and we loved the fries. Had this starred on my list and really wanted it to be Jeffrey’s Grocery level and it just wasn’t

Capturing the essence of a seaside seafood shack with an urban, maritime charm. The place feels like a pearl from the ocean, and the cozy seating enhances its allure. As they do not take reservations, I came here midday on Saturday and only had to wait 15 mins for a table.

Wow, this place blew me away. Amazing food, atmosphere, service and music. Every single dish rocked. The oysters are amazing as is the crudo. Wines by the glass were excellent. Parking is the only negative. Gotta get lucky or walk a bit. Can’t wait to return.

The oysters were the right size, not too big and not too small. The roe butter with bread for the appetizer was comforting. The crab dip was to die for. Long wait, 50+ mins. But they come out and serve you wines or champagne while you wait!

Love this place!! Food is quality and the staff is amazing and fun. You have to wait but it’s worth it. We made our own platter (oysters, prawns, clams and crudo), tried the scallops, steak tartare burger and fries. My top faves were the scallops and crudo but everything else was just as phenomenal.

Quaint little place with outside seating. Friendly staff with attention to detail. Be sure to ask what the market price is before ordering. Prices are not for those on a tight budget .

This an LA gem, great food excellent service. We started with an Arnold Palmer drink, then we ordered the scallop tostadas, the scallops was fresh and firms and the basil added lots of flavors. Also the clam chowder was packed with clams and it was delicious. The crude plate was prepared with fresh tuna yummmmy! Lots of variety to choose from. The price also was great for LA area. You should try it.

If you’re looking for a religious experience — skip your Sunday church plans and come directly to the house of happiness, found oyster. An east coast vibe that brings LA the thing we’ve been missing, epic raw bar. A must visit, it’s on my shortlist for anyone coming to LA. And the team are some of the nicest and most interesting people you might ever meet!

In all of my years, I’ve never eaten somewhere that hits the holy trinity of restaurant greats – great service, great atmosphere, great food. But then I found Found Oyster.
