I ate at Gator Corner Dining every day for 5 weeks for a summer camp. It was an AMAZING experience! There is always a variety of delicious dishes to choose from! The staff is absolutely wonderful, super kind, and helpful! Special shout-out to Ruby, Lucretia, Sarah, and Ian! I highly recommend Gator Corner Dining.

Tonight I ordered a Philly cheese steak. When it arrived, there was no bread in sight. You do the math. (Had to give the third star for the cookies, they’re 8/10, would fill a to go box with them).

Food is alright. Sometimes it’s just eh, sometimes they got good stuff. Wish they would serve chicken strips and fish and chips more. But the lady at the door, Lucretia in the morning is amazing. She never fails to make me smile. Whatever she is getting paid now, she deserves a raise!

I’m hard to feed (vegan with a nut allergy) but there is always something here I can eat. Lately they have even had vegan pizza, vegan pastries, etc. and the nutrition info is usually really easy to find. I have never had a cross-contamination reaction or anything in the 4 years I’ve gone here. The staff are also amazing, nice people which means a lot when you are a stressed-out student.

As a student at the University of Florida I am dissapointed in our dining options. Many students prefer this dining hall over Fresh Food Company near Broward Hall, but I find it lacks variety (unless you enjoy overcooked pasta with peas, pizza made with cheddar cheese, and school lunch burgers). There are a couple of home-cooked/healthy stations that usualy have: rice or potatoes, some sort of tough sliced meat, and a vegetable. Then you have the self-serve pizza station, the pasta corner, a panini station (honestly just call it a sandwhich, it gets barely gets warm in the panini press, let alone crispy), and the quintessential American food station (burgers, hotdogs, chicken tenders on occassion). Some days there are good options, but going from week to week waiting for a good meal is not how students up here should live! Especially those who are vegan or vegetarian… their options are EXTREMELY limited. Walking into the dining hall is always a dissapointment, but the feeling you get walking out of the building, still a bit hungry, is worse.

Mrs. Lucretia at the front is great. She remembers everyone’s names even all of the students. But the food has gotten horrible. They switched companies from Aramark to Chartwell and the change is very noticeable. The oatmeal is salty asl everyday. We used to have bacon at least twice a week now no bacon. Use to have freshly made French toast now they give you French toast sticks that taste like cardboard. This food is the worse. We deserve better at the University of Florida.

Some food is a hit some is a miss. The things served daily such as pizza are usually consistent but sometimes the other food is just subpar.
