BurritoDumpling
This place is located on the second floor of a building above some souvenir shops. Dumpling says surprisingly better than expected. Burrito says that view . Interior is very standard. Burrito had a simple Caesar salad, which was very good, and had lots of grated Parmesan. Dumpling had a chicken sandwich, and the chicken was done just right, not greasy, but juicy. Onion rings as a side were delicious and exactly what we are looking for in an onion ring, smooth beer battered, not all crusty Panko crusted. Dinning with some extras, the fish had by another was huge, and we were told delicious. Chicken fingers were also good. French fries as a side were the excellent potato kind. The mashed potatoes had as a side to the fish and tasted by all, were strange. They had an off taste and were not seasoned/mixed properly. When Burrito asked what was in them we were told heavy cream and butter, maybe the cream was soured because these did not taste like standard issued mash.

The seafood was great! My only complaint was that my sandwich bun was a bit stale, which was a shame, since the tuna was perfectly blackened. The kids’ $8 cheeseburger platters were a great value, probably 1/3 lb patties.

The owner Chris clearly works hard and leads by an excellent example! Her staff responds in kind to make an awesome atmosphere with the BEST location in the outer banks to watch the sun set over the ocean… It was an exceptional experience that we will definitely return for!

This place is a nice stop for dinner. I had the chicken Alfredo and my partner had the mussels linguine. They give you an excellent sized serving of mussels and the linguine garlic sauce was very good. The chicken Alfredo was not good. Strongly recommend avoiding that dish. Also do not expect to get your food quickly. We sat down at 5:40 ordered around 6:00 and got our dishes for a party of 6 around 7:15. The service is top notch though, Gabby did the best she could with getting us drinks and making sure we were taken care of while waiting. All in all, it was fine, just a few things to be aware of!

My family of 6 ate here on the way back to Southern Shores from a day in Ocracoke, and it was the best decision we made! The hostesses sat us eight away, our waitress was AWESOME, and the food was AMAZING! It was also very reasonable for all we got. $200 for 2 apps, 6 entrees, 6 sodas, and 2 desserts! I will definitely be coming back and making it a yearly visit!

I had the fish of the day. It was flounder, and I really enjoyed it. The hush puppies were great too and so were the fries. The service provided was excellent and the view of the water from the restaurant made the experience even better.

The food was pretty good. Drinks were ok. There were 2 hostesses standing around, constantly bringing food out of the kitchen and eating. We waited to be seated while they were back in the kitchen. My friends pasta dish was very, very watery. He said it tasted good, but it looked like the pasta wasn’t properly drained. It just didn’t feel like a friendly place. The view of the bay is nice for sunsets.

The food is great but if you’re a vegetarian or vegan, beware, everything is definitely fried in the same oil. Our calamari came with okra and artichoke hearts in it and an order of onion rings also had a deep fried chicken wing. This is not a complaint. We were happy to have bonus foods in our orders but it’s a valid observation. There is also no beers menu as they change their offerings pretty frequently and it seems to be more of a tell your server what you’d like and they will tell you what they have in that vein. It’s a different way to tackle an ever changing selection and it seems to work for them. There was also live music and people doing water sports right outside, courtesy of Kitty Hawk Kites giving lessons from below and it made for a memorable evening.

WOW!!!!! We only got take out but we are just blown away! My 9 year old said “terrific!” And won’t stop talking about how great everything is. Best hush puppies I’ve ever had. My husband got the danthe burger, fabulous. I got the black bean burger which is made in house and the best I’ve ever had (I also added a side of their Cajun roulade to put on it.) My son had a plain cheeseburger, fries and mozzarella sticks. BEST FRIES EVER!!! We can’t wait to go back tomorrow and dine in and hopefully watch the sunset
