LOVE THIS RESTAURANT! I was expecting this place to look like a Burger King inside since it was converted to a restaurant. But we can say this being our first time eating here we were pleasantly impressed by how well the layout is, furnishings and atmosphere is! I love the upscale feel and granite table tops and the beautiful shades that shield out the sun yet can still see outdoors. The food we ordered was real good and I had a breakfast and the hash browns were THE BEST I ever ate! I highly detest eating out unless the restaurant feels fresh, clean and modern. This place made me feel good and I enjoyed my time out with my sisters. The prices are very reasonable and I plan to go with my husband next time!

We had a large group from Wednesday until Monday staying in the area. We had breakfast, lunch and some dinners around town. Some were very large to accommodate such a large group (60). Unfortunately we found Great Lakes family restaurant on our last night. They had the best food hands down!!!!! If your traveling on 127 take the M-55 exit head east less than a quarter mile off the freeway. Large

I’ve been coming here for a while and this place has just fallen off the staff service is less than mediocre the restaurant is disgusting and the food only come out full cooked about a quarter of the time we ordered the wing ding dinner and all of the wings had hair mixed in the batter someone need to actually be a manger and get this place together the cleanliness of this restaurant is below adequate and someone needs to be fire for allowing it to be in the condition it’s in I don’t even want to give them a star however google doesnt allow 0 star reviews

It’s fine. They have a pretty extensive menu but there is nothing special about it. If you want plain generic food, and lots of iceberg lettuce, this is your place. The service was polite and prompt and the place was clean. The food wasn’t bad it was just…meh. It’s safe bet they’ll have what you are craving it’ll just be a little bland.

I really liked most of the food, and there was a lot of food at a great price. The only thing I did not like was the chili. Not exactly sure what it was, but it was certainly not chili. It was more like flour thickened tomato soup (lumpy) with a few beans added – gross. The rest of the food was pretty good though, and good service.

They were not busy, but we waited 45 minutes. Once the food got to our table most of it was cold. The waitress who took our order didn’t come back until we finally ate half of it. Waitresses were friendly, I have stopped at the same restaurant in Ithaca and had great service and the food was hot.

First time at the restaurant. A party of 5. Three meals came out. Ten minutes later my husband’s meal came out and it wasn’t just wrong, but it was cold. He sent it back and when correct order came out the waitstaff dropped one side of the plate like she was upset he sent the food back. Ten minutes after that I still had not received my meal. A person in my party went to inquire about it. The order was turned in but it was forgotten about it. Someone sitting for a total of 20 minutes without their meal should be checked on by waitstaff! Everyone is done eating and then I get my fish and chips. The fries were hot. But the fish was very cold and soggy like they’d been sitting around a long time. No apologies. Nothing taken off the bill. The food and service is the worst in Houghton Lake. I will never go back. They deserve no stars.
