Overall, I enjoyed my experience at this small business. The dirty rice, fried chicken and the swai fish were delicious and well seasoned. The cornbread was really good also, just a little on the small side. Unfortunately, the collard greens were under seasoned, the yams were slightly undercooked and not sweet enough for me, the macaroni had a strong burnt taste. The sides were still edible and I enjoyed trying everything. The service and atmosphere were okay too. I would still recommend supporting local small businesses and forming your own opinion.

I am in LOVE!! This is my new favorite place to go…especially on Sundays after church. It’s literally a hidden jewel that I didn’t really want to rate on here, just because I wanted to keep it all to myself. Liz has been my server each time and she is AMAZING! She gives her honest opinions, helps with recommendations and makes sure you leave there with a smile on your face and your belly full. Let’s not forget dessert, the banana pudding, and lemon crunch cake have become my favorites. Stop by and let Liz cater to your belly, you will definitely want to thank me.

1000/10 would come here again. This is my second time ordering food from them and it always hits the spot! I love the sides and the pig feet, one of my favorite . The staffs were really nice, and the restaurant feels comforting. This is the place to have some good soul food

Been craving some soul food and g’s soul train did not miss! Was gonna get it to go but changed my mind. I asked for a plate so I could really enjoy my food rather then eat from the To go containers. Entree w/ 2 sides! Great food and service

This review may be a little long winded but this place deserves it… My children and I just moved here to El Paso from NC a year ago and we were looking for some soul food. We decided to try this little place and we were not disappointed. The atmosphere had a very homey feel. You could tell right away it was a small business. We were politely greeted and told that they had a few orders to take care of and then we would be taken care of. We were fine with the wait. We ordered the Fried Catfish Nuggets and sides were Mac and Cheese, Greens, Yams, and Dirty Rice. Man oh man, let me tell you. Everything was so good!!! It was worth the wait! It made us feel like we were back home. We also had the Banana Pudding and Fried Oreos. Yummy! The service was great and we also loved meeting the staff. Especially Ms. Sandra! What a beautiful soul with great energy! We will definitely be going back. We left full, and happy. It was a lovely experience all over. This place was !

I have been eating at G’s soul food for years and wanted to try the new restaurant, love it, love it, it’s a yes for me. I had the fried catfish plate with Mac n cheese and greens. The catfish was fried perfectly and the Mac n cheese and greens were outstanding. My boyfriend had the fried chicken with two helpings of Mac n cheese. He said it’s some of the best Mac n Cheese he has ever had. Kudos on that statement because he is a picky eater. The only four star item I ate at G’s was the strawberry crunch cake because it was a little dry but perhaps I got an old piece.

If you’re ever in El Paso, TX go by this place. The experience was as if I was at my Big Mama’s house and she was cooking for me and my friends. The food was delicious and the staff made me feel like I was family versus a customer visiting for the first time. We had smoked neck bones, fried cabbage, Mac n Cheese, wings, fried pork chops, Double seafood broil, sweet potato pie and the banana pudding that was out of this world. Go check them out

My girl is about her business. When I first met her, she was a regular at my old job and was just a pleasant person to serve. Now I’m happy to be one of her regulars! She made my 22nd birthday the best birthday I have ever had in my entire life. I could never be more thankful. You want REAL SOUL Food??? She will not disappoint!
