This placed changed management recently and I have to say I was very impressed. I ordered the Carne Asada plate and it was delicious. The portions were generous, the rice was amazing and the salad was fresh. Oh, and they give you queso dip with the chips.

This restaurant has been open a little over a year and a half now and we have been loyal customers since day one. Unfortunately since they opened they slowly started changing items on their menu. The first changes came only months after they opened their doors. Changing the fajita from nice size regular cut fajita to the asada pieces every other restaurant sells. They have since changed items such as the chicken they place into the quesadillas from a fajita chicken to a nasty chicken that has a weird chorizo flavor. They have also stopped using actual enchiladas sauce but instead have chosen to use quisada…not guisada sauce but actual chuck guisada with bell peppers and onion. A flavor that’s is unwelcomed when someone just wants to eat enchiladas. Their salsa has been changed into some garlicky puree instead of a traditional blended salsa. It used to be we could go have a great dinner any day of the week and we did visit at first at least 3 times a week, to having to choose what days we went based on who they had as cook. Now the food has become so mediocre it is no longer worth going out of the way to spend our money there. Before posting this review, we attempted to give them 3 chances in a hope it was just a mistake. Sadly no they only got worse with every visit. In our last visit there they serve me tough over cooked steak mostly fat with the guisada chuck enchiladas. If you plan on going out of your way to have dinner…don’t. This venue has become the same as every other mediocre mexican restaurant in San Antonio. No longer is it a hidden gem. Customer might as well go to any other place because the flavor isnt worth going out of your way anymore. Guerrero’s has lost two loyal customers today and we Do Not plan on ever going back.

It was my first time going to this restaurant. We ordered 4 tacos and waited over 30minutes. The waitress that was running drive through had to serve us the tacos and later asked if everything was okay instead of the original waitress. One of the tortillas were burnt. The salsa was good and the rest of the tacos were good.

Very affordable. Good portions. I had enchiladas with chicken fajitas…I enjoyed it very much. Nice waitresses and cooks even asked if the food was good. Will definitely be back.

If I can give a zero stars I would last time I bought a torta of milanesa and nothing of meat it was just extra skin I called to report it they told me to bring it back because they needed to see it which I said I will take it today when I’m off work mind you that lady didn’t let me know they closed early so I stayed with no torta and no refund oh and to add on top of that lady that answer phone needed to tell her manager about this and manager stated when they made it that everything looked good well yeah because you just looking at the outside the breading not the actual meat will no longer go to this location even if I have to drive more !!!!
