Was a great experience, the food was amazing and the staff went above and beyond to celebrate our special occasion! They even gave us complimentary prosecco with dessert to celebrate us. The prices were also great for the quality of the meal! Very affordable comparatively to other similar steakhouses in the area! I love that they have their own greenhouse and use Midwestern raised beef!

Hamilton’s Urban Steakhouse & Bourbon Bar was named the best Steakhouse in Missouri so you know I had to go try it. I started with a Bottled in Bond Bourbon flight and the Rittenhouse Rye was by far the best Bourbon out of Colonel EH Taylor and Evan Williams. Appetizers we had the Maryland crab cakes which were fantastic but the scallops with the whipped honey ricotta were unreal lick your plate clean delicious. They serve a soft garlic potato bread with sea salt and butter that is great. I had the Tomahawk with Grouper that was excellent. The steak melted in your mouth and the fish was cooked perfectly as well. April had a KC strip steak that was great. Matt had a wonderful filet that looked like a steak nugget next to the Tomahawk. Stephanie had a tasty chicken and vegetable dish. Dessert we couldn’t decide so we ordered the Bread Pudding with caramel sauce and salted caramel ice cream, white choclate cheesecake with raspberries, and a flour less choclate torte that imo stole the show. You must like dark choclate and it’s rich and delicious. Followed it up with a glass of Eagle Rare which was good. Wonderful vibe. Friendly folks. Charlie our waiter was one of Best waiters I’ve had. Superb job with everything delivering fun and entertainment with a 5 star meal. I will definitely be back to try more of the menu. I could make a meal out of the scallops and lemon pepper Brussel sprouts. Ceaser salad was great. Fried potato salad was great. I really loved the apple cabbage slaw as well. Looking for a Great dinner spot in STL you should try it out.

Tried the pork belly appetizer and it was delicious. Then I ordered the 6oz filet with the bourbon carrots. The steak was phenomenal. This is the best steak in STL. It had an excellent charred crust which enhanced the flavor of the meat. For dessert we shared the flourless chocolate torte and expresso mousse and it was crazy delicious. The carrots were over cooked a bit. They were to soft. The cadence of our service was choppy. The server and bus person need to coordinate better. The server needs to leverage the bus person for dish removal and drink refills. They don’t have a parking lot but I was able to find a close spot on the street. I highly recommend the filet cooked medium rare.

We came in late but they are the only one that opens to 10 pm. We felt very welcomed there. The steak was a bit dry we should have ordered medium rare 🙂 over all we were very satisfied. The grilled shrimps were great too.
