I tried African food for the first time and I didn’t expect to love it. The food was flavourful but not to the point where you can’t try the plantain or other food. I would recommend it again not only for the flavor but also for the service. They were really nice and help me choose something to eat for a starter.

I absolutely love this place. The staff is friendly, the place feels comfy, and most importantly the food is incredible! My soup was bursting with bright and complex flavor, and the fufu was warm and soft. It was so delicious and kept me full all day. I will go back VERY SOON and tell my friends that they should try Ike’s.

Portions are waaay too small for the price that they charge for just jollof rice and a meat side. You literary get a small childs serving of meat and hardly any rice. The food is good but the prices are a rip off!

The owner/cook heard me say rice and tried to give me some rice dish ( that I felt was already sitting out considering how long I had to wait for my correct order )with tomatoe sauce, plantains, an egg and 3 pieces of chicken. I told him I didn’t order that cause I’m allergic to tomatoes. I told him fried rice. After waiting 15 minutes he comes back with what looked like yellow rice and 1 piece of chicken that was very dry and bland! I called back to see how many pieces of chicken was I suppose to get ( for $13 ) and when he said 1, I felt like he recognized my voice so, I just hung up! What a disappointment!!!

Poor customer service the staff don’t know how to speak to there customer. Food portion is not really enough for the price. The food does not appear to be freshly made daily if you never tasted authentic wast Africa food you will assume this is the standard and that its not. I was told by many people who have been b4 that the food was not all that good but to support an African business locally I want to try for myself never again both times I have went it was awful. Thinking it maybe different cooks. Definitely not worth the money.

I purchased the Egusi Soup (Fufu) and another soup but I don’t remember the name. This was my first time tasting African cuisine and it was phenomenal! This food was so Good, fresh, and flavorful. I want some more right now!

There is nothing good about this restaurant from my experience. Paid $12 for a plate of suya today Friday Dec 23rd 2022 and they came out with dry old meat that tastes nothing like suya. He might as well cut up plywood and sell in the name of suya.
