I don’t quite understand how this place gets such glowing reviews. My main complaints are regarding service and price. I have been once to the downtown location and twice to the Johns Island location, and each time I was greeted with an absolute curmudgeon working the register. It was a different person each time and yet they were all the same! No smile, no interaction, with a very impatient attitude, as if they were completely annoyed to be doing their job. As a fellow service industry worker, I understand having a bad day, but don’t project it on the customer. Y’all might want to consider having these employees work in positions in which they don’t interact with other human beings, because it’s clearly just too taxing for them. Regarding price, we spent $15 + a tip for two child size drinks. At least they were good quality.

Favorite place on Johns Island to get coffee, and their baked goods and salads are great as well. The prices are high, but reflect the quality of the ingredients and excellent service. Love the people, the atmosphere, and everything I’ve tried so far. A real John’s Island gem 🙂

Easy 5 stars. Had a breakfast sandwich and black coffee this morning. The sandwich was all local and fresh ingredients and extremely tasty. Black coffee was on point and you could tell the put in a lot of effort choosing which one to serve. They also have draft beers and potentially a wine tasting. I will be going back for both. Each time I have been in, people are friendly and engage in conversation with me. This will be my new spot.

IP’s food and beverages are delectable and their team is delightful. Think charming neighborhood cafe meets boutique European market. Their fare is thoughtfully curated with epicure driven options including freshly made and grab-and-go (or stay) food and groceries, a wonderfully eclectic selection of wine and beer, handcrafted barista creations, bakery offerings, and more.

The coffee was AMAZING!! Service was great. Very clean atmosphere and fair prices. Chris made our drinks exceptionally well. I had an Iced Vanilla Latte. Not too sweet to too bitter. My husband had a Hot Caramel Macchiato that was delicious!!! 5/5 recommend.

My boyfriend just said “that’s probably the best quiche I’ve ever had” (and the coffee was the best we’ve had in Charleston, too)
