Very small location, but very cozy. Excellent service provided and food was delicious. Chopped beef dinner provided a filling meal and catfish was perfectly fried. Highly recommend.

Food was delicious (and I just came back from NOLA so expectations are pretty high.) Our family had writings, ribs, crab cake, Mac and cheese, collard greens, sweet potatoes and chili with rice. We ate it all. So good. The owner and waitress were so kind, true southern hospitality. Happy we found this place will be returning soon!

Spot was alright need more season on sting beans and shouldn’t use can yams if it’s concerned soul food restaurant turkey wings need more season and cooked a little longer, short ribs was excellent so I give it 3 out 5. I guess fry food is the thing we didn’t have no fry food. Also very small spot

What an amazing spot! We arrived just as they were closing and the owner came out and greeted us. When the food was ready, the woman behind the counter said we could eat the food inside instead of taking it to go. They stayed open longer just for us! It was such a kind gesture.

You can’t get better southern cooking in NJ. I like the half fried chicken, collared greens, baked Mac-n-cheese, and a corn muffin. Jameson is also very friendly. Vietnam veteran! Thank you for your service sir!
