What a cute place!! And the food was delicious! We had the sausage “sammich” (the BUNS are bomb) w/ Mac and cheese and the loaded baked potato – YUM The folks who served us were helpful and kind as well. Very happy with our experience here. We will definitely be returning customers

We drive past Jimmy Vega’s Smokehouse at least 4-6 times a week, and each time we comment that we want to have dinner there sometime. This week, we finally did, and are so glad!! A great parking lot in the back, for starters! The rear entry (main entrance, where one orders) has a nice chalkboard menu on the wall, vintage records playing, and a very friendly young person taking our order and providing advice. We then took our seat (where we sat was our choice) – and the food was delivered to us in a short time. I had brisket and my husband, ribs. Delicious!!! Moist, great flavor, tender, a super comfortable vibe….ready to go back!! On our way out to our car, we met the owner. So friendly and engaging; we chatted about what some of their next steps would be regarding outdoor eating spaces (which already were very pretty and shady). So, yes, we will be back soon!! Thanks! Georgetown is such a nice place to live!!

The newly opened Jimmy Vegas in Georgetown is around the corner from my house. We decided to walk on over and see if the food was as good as the smells wafting over into my yard. It did not disappoint. My friend ordered the “I don’t know what I want” platter and I got the loaded baked potato. The brisket was tender and juicy as were the pork ribs. The potato was large and unique with slaw, some cream sauce, cheese and other savory toppings. The Mac and cheese and creamed street corn was full of flavor and really hit the spot. We also loved the atmosphere. Good job!

The brisket is to die for. Homemade ranch (huge deal). Fries are incredibly seasoned. Macaroni tastes like grandmas. The funnel fries were delish. Cute inside environment.

Excellent BBQ! Brisket was so tender! I loved the names of the menu. I had the “I don’t know what to get” that came with 2 sides, turkey, rib, sausage and brisket! My guest enjoyed a brisket sandwich. Our sides: jimmy beans (amazing) German potato salad (not my favorite but it was good! Served warm with vinegar) and the mac & cheese (fantastic) Historic home turned restaurant at a great location. Smokehouse was smoking, so good!

Best BBQ around. New location on university is very well done with lots of seating in and out. Parking lot behind the building, or north, across the street. All of the meats had a great smoke flavor from the pit. Had turkey, brisket, ribs, and sausage. The slaw is unique and tasty. Ample serving size, good value. He still plays vinyl on a turntable.

Invitingly friendly, down home vibe, good eats, good music. Dine inside or outside, cold drinks and beers. Ribs were smoked to perfection and so was the brisket. Great place to hang out with friends and family.
