The salsa has good flavor and the chips are thicker. The enchiladas are really good. Served hot and the staff is really good at checking up n you. We have been here several times since we found them and have been really pleased with everything we have gotten. They have chicken fried steak but no mashed potatoes. It was a large helping!

The atmosphere originally was Garcias Cantina, but the restaurant has not been able to change out some of the decor. Chips and salsa were delicious. The Pancho Villa dish was decent sized for near 14.00 dollar price and they actually serve sopapillas as I remember they should. The eight layer dip is worth the slightly near 11.00 dollar price considering today’s economy. Kent’s Tex Mex is definitely worth the trip if you are in town. They don’t allow a 4.8 rating or that is what I would have put.

Ok I’m not gonna lie, I expected the Chicken fried steak to be completely average. It wasn’t, in fact it was better than most. That batter was perfect. The steak huge. When most places are skimping Kent’s has doubled down on providing a excellent product at a great price. I have eaten here several times and never ever considered trying the CFS. I was blown away by it.

Food was meh. Pretty bland for Tex Mex. Meat was dry and salsa was from a jar, not homemade. Service was great. Atmosphere is enjoyably quaint. If I lived in Denison, I would probably give it another shot because I just love Tex Mex and today may have been an off day, but I live 50ish miles away.

Warm sturdy Chips, perfect. Wonderful Salsa. Combo platters are fresh and Huge. Cheese enchiladas with queso are awesome. Lily was great. very attentive, fast and accommodating.

Our server was not familiar with what was offered or the menu. The constituency between servers is not the same. When we brought our concerns to the attention of the owner and all we got was another explanation, nothing seem to be solved at all. Won’t go back.
