My work ordered catering from Kuya for a coworker’s surprise retirement party and I never had philipino food before. Comes to my surprise everything tasted delicious, lots of coworkers were asking where did you order the food from.

The food selection is varied and will give you some idea of Filipino food. I must say, the chef here listens to constructive criticism. When they first took over from the previous owner, I made some comments to them and he responded respectfully. They’ve also scored high at 100 at one random visit by a restaurant inspector.

i think the food is alright. pork belly is not well seasoned. rice for k7 wasn’t warm at all but the meat and sauce was decent. the meat on the skewers was too big, maybe a little thinner will be better, but well seasoned. i think lumpia was really good among all of the dishes!

This place is located inside the Farmer’s Market food court which has plenty of parking outside. It’s a food court so seating is open and first come first serve. They do take card.

I really wanted to like this place since there are so few Filipino restaurants here but I was disappointed. Adobe chicken had a very watered down flavor, almost no vinegar. Grilled pork skewers came out cold, they were nice enough to remake it and added an extra skewer, taste was good but flavor mild. The ox and beef stew was just bad. Beef was super dried out, Ox tail was not tender, stew was just bad, after a few bites we threw it in the trash. It tasted like someone boiled some water and peanut butter and threw some old dried out meat in it. Lumpias we’re good and only dish I would recommend from what we tried.

I’ve both dined at their location and ordered catered food. They are friendly and easy to transact with. Food is good and even our American guests loved it!

Okay, so not too many Filipino restaurants here in the ATL area, but this made my day and a great meal. Kuya’s was small and we ordered quite a bit of food, over all very happy with all meals. My kids are picky and they ate it just like their Lola made it. 4 stars for the food quality and taste, and an extra star for the unique meal options.

I’m half Filipino so I’m excited to have Filipino food that doesn’t involve me cooking it. It’s located in a food court. The food was good. Not as good as my mom’s, but good enough to bring my mom here. Lol. I’ll be coming back.
