This place was awesome! We stopped in for a Saturday lunch with a friend and had heard great things and figured we’d check it out. The staff were very sweet and friendly, and everything looked delicious. We tried the 2 and 3 meat platter and a mix of all of the sides, and they did not disappoint! Even the poundcake for dessert was wonderful. I’d highly recommend this place and will definitely be back!

Had smothered pork steak with black eye peas and okra with tomatoes and cornbread was an excellent meal also had unsweetened tea it was great this is something I find many restaurants fail on but theirs is great. Definitely plan on going back

Tried the fried chicken thigh and a leg…Amazing! The chicken was so juicy and delicious and the fried skin was delicious too!! The green beans were very tasty as well. Lamar served us and made us feel very welcomed and checked in on us to make sure we had everything we needed. I will definitely be back the next time I’m in town. Excellent!!

If I could give this place a 10, I would. This food is sooooo good. The cabbage and peach cobbler is no joke. The only con to this place is that it closes too early. The staff is friendly and the restaurant is clean. I will definitely be back.

I gotta say this has quickly become one of my favorite restaurants in town, especially considering the food is great and the cost is really good considering the amount of food you get. I think it was $12 for everything pictured with a Dr Pepper.

Visited Lamar and Nikki’s while in Bryan visiting my mother after the death of my father. Not only was the food delicious but the people…Lamar and Nikki and all the staff knew my parents from years of almost weekly visits. They rushed to support my mother when they heard the news. Their kindness and superb food are a shining star in the B/CS area. Try the fried chicken and cabbage.
