It’s nice to come to an old school place and here classic jazz, people dressed modestly and where the food and service were excellent.

The food was outstanding and good as advertised! Prime rib, sea bass, crab cakes, creamed spinach, Yorkshire pudding, truffled Mac n cheese. All of it was incredibly delicious.

The grandiose of the restaurant might intimidate you if it’s your first time. The inside is indeed magnificent. Tried their classic prime rib dinner the Jim Brady cut. It was phenomenal, absolutely nailed the temperature. Loved the Yorkshire pudding also. The chef carves the steak right at the table. Truly an amazing experience. The wait staff were very courteous.

It’s exactly what you’d expect from a steakhouse. Big, solid steaks and lots of sides. They lug around this huge cart where they cut the slices of meat for you. I think overall the food was good, not something so exceptional compared to other steakhouses. Their “famous” spinning salad was also just mid. BUT—I really did love the ambience. Huge spacious feel and just the right amount of energy so it’s not too quiet or overwhelming. Beware of valet though, it took me almost 15 minutes to get my car while waiting.

I always enjoy Lawrys. It’s been a staple in my family for years. Anytime I’m in LA, I visit. The decor, the service, the uniforms are still the same since the beginning. Very nostalgic. The prime rib & signature salad are served table side. You’ll also find signature Lawrys seasonings on the table to enjoy. This location also offers valet parking.

Atmosphere killer you let a person in with a tank top shirt, swimming trunks shorts n slippers, in your establishment, you should not let this happen rest of your customers are properly dress even my guests noticed this. ARE U THAT DESPERATE FOR BUSINESS THAT YOU LET PEOPLE IN THAT ARE DRESSED LIKE THIS N THIS IS NOT MY FIRST TIME SEEING THIS. My guests n I notice that the prime rib was toooo salty. We have been going here for years quality of the prime rib has gone way down.

Ordered the English cut, medium rare, with two sides, cream spinach and cream corn. The steak was extremely buttery and tender in texture, and the seasoning salt and pepper on the table paired wonderfully with the meat and mashed potatoes. I do recommend the English cut since the thinness of meat allows the perfect immersion of sauce.

I was so excited to take my daughter here for her birthday trip! Prime Rib being one of her food loves– the nostalgia and anticipation of a cart rolling up, serving you tableside– only in your best dreams, right!? Wrong! The hostesses was the only real gem of the entire experience. We were taken to the back room, quite with a booth. Perfect, until 10 minutes after we were sat, they sat a 6 top in the center of the room, table consisting of two toddlers and a very loud women. Her laugh echoed throughout the dining room, due to the fact there were only 10 diners total. I asked to be moved because we wanted to enjoy the experience of evening to come; which they did very quickly and without judgment– only to seat us in the main dinner room– by a couple who brought their two dogs into dine with them. Who minds barking dogs throughout a meal, in an “upscale” eatery?

We went to Lawry’s for dinner for our LA staycation, I had never been and figured I should give it a try.
