After a meeting. We decided to grab a bite to eat. One of my friends suggested this location because she enjoyed their porkchops! We went and it was reserved that night for a private party. However, the guests told us to COME ON IN! They had the music going. Karaoke going!! It was a really laid-back experience. We had a great time. The food was ok. I think because it was so many people and they forgot to put our order through was the reason for the tough chicken fried chicken and pork chops. My friend didn’t enjoy them this night. The vegetables were good and tasty!

I had high hopes for this place. Staff was nice and friendly. The menu items are profoundly overpriced. But the food presentation and portions were good. My experience was my order got lost and I had to wait over 30 minutes and the cooked asked me 4 times what did I order. I was patient but totally flabbergasted. The sad part was when I did get my order and made it home to enjoy it was full of SALT. The food was so salty my mother and I could barely eat it. We ended up trying to re-fix the meal which was smothered pork chops and gravy, with greens,Mac n cheese. The pork chops were tender though.

I met up with some friends for lunch here while passing through the area. It turned out to be a great choice. I had a burger while my wife had some hot wings. Both were delicious. The service was great, too. I highly recommend stopping in Lena Mae’s.

The oxtail special on Sunday is my absolute favorite, big meaty oxtails do it for me every time. I pair mine with collards and macaroni—delicious. Staff is always friendly as well, I’m not understanding what all the bad reviews are about. I’ve been frequenting for about 5 months and never had an issue. I highly recommend Lena Mae’s!

My coworker showed me a pic of the food she had gotten here two days ago, so I decided to try a good southern cooked meal. Wrong choice. The food I received today was definitely not southern food. The Mac and cheese was so dry you needed a knife to saw through it. Dry as hell. The worst I have ever had. No mustard in the potato salad. Fried pork chops with no seasoning nor costing. Just dropped in the skillet. I wish I would of choose something else for lunch because I just wasted $20. McDonald’s would of been a better choice. So please do not waste your money here.

My family took me here today for Mother’s Day. I ordered the catfish, Mac and cheese with fried okra. It was off the chain good. The catfish and okra was cooked crisp and seasoned like I like . The portion size was huge, two people could eat off one dinner. Oh the Mac and cheese was as good as the way my husband makes his (from scratch). You want leave this place hungry. Everyone left with a carry out. Best restaurant in Cedar Hill. Love it will be back.

The BEST Philly cheesesteak ever!! This place is Family owned and they really know how to cook delicious, mouth watering food as well as give great service! Chef was amazing with lots of experience and super friendly. I highly recommend Lena Maes Country Cafe, and if you’re feeling adventurous, try the Monster Burger Challenge!

The food is incredibly delicious! You get healthy portions and great customer service! I’ve had almost everything on the menu. The brisket melts in your mouth! The Mac and cheese is awesome! Plus they provide music entertainment on Thursdays and Fridays! We go every week!

Advice bring your own seasoning. We went @12:30 the restaurant opened at 11a. They were already out of Greens meaning they served the few they had left over from the day before. I ordered neckbones they had large pieces of potatoes in them as a filler with no flavor. The mac cheese was blend and sticky. My friend ordered the veggie plate with fried okra. The okra was hard and also very blend. The waiter Karen (owners daughter) had exceptional customer service too bad she is only here for a short time. Because the other waiter Ann is not friendly or helpful at ALL.
