Rarely so good in DC! This is what we want. An Example of making good food and people are willing to pay and enjoy. I loved the food here. So good. This place is not like 50~100 menu Chinese style Vietnamese cuisine. A bit pricey but you won’t complain. New menu coming back for September. There are around 10 menus only, that means they are focused on those menu instead of making 100 crabs.

Wow!! The food was SO GOOD and the service was exquisite. A lot of different restaurant concepts have occupied this space and this is one of the best. The chicken wings were fantastic. We ordered almost everything on the menu and it was all good. Some dishes were more authentic than others but mostly it was a vibe. A great vibe! Highly recommend.

It’s a small venue, about seven tables and a bar- so the setting is certainly intimate if bustling. The standout dish for us was the ceviche although the 72 hour short ribs were a VERY close second (part of the pop up collab w Kevin Tian!) Loved our meal there and the cocktails as well, very interesting and still good. Looking forward to a return.

Little Vietnam is a nice addition to Upshur Street. Service was great and attentive. The food was good and the fresh ingredients were noticeable. Menu changes based on what’s available in the kitchen which is always a nice way to try new things and get out of your comfort zone.

We love this space and every restaurant that’s been in it. Little Vietnam is no exception! We ate there early after it opened and then again during the Little Himitsu phase. Both times, the food was great, and vibes are top notch. The drink list is small but mighty, and the menu is exciting across the board! Well priced especially for the size of the dishes – we ordered only three dishes plus dessert and walked out quite full.

What a delight to catch Kevin Tien (2023 RAMMY chef of the year) at this summer pop-up. His offerings are listed on the left side of the menu. First time here, so I tried the twice-fried chicken since I loved Moon Rabbit’s fried chicken. Impressively moist with a satisfying crunch and a slow burn that builds but doesn’t burn quite so fiercely that it obliterates all other flavors. The kewpie mayonnaise was a mystery. I guess it’s a hit in Japan. The pickles were a nice touch, with or without the listed turmeric. Strong plate, and definitely worth a return visit.
