We were a large party with 5 children and walked in without a reservation. The host/waiter got us settled and was very attentive. He offered to create a meal not on the menu for one of the kids. The food was beyond words and so authentic. Each plate was cooked to perfection and fresh, fresh, fresh. I recommend dining here for sure!

On my first girls’ trip to Boston we visited this place on a recommendation from a friend. At first we got there a bit early and it was empty so we were concerned but we went in anyway and so glad we did. The service was extremely friendly and personal even as other patrons started to arrive. All of us ordered meals that were on the specials menu and they were all very delicious. Personally I got shrimp and asparagus rigatoni and it was very tasty. From the bread and dipping oil down to the limoncello shot at the end, we enjoyed it all. As we were leaving the placed was filling up so turns out we were just a little early for the dinner crowd.

Food was tasty and service was fast and good! They also served good olive oil with bread and balsamic vinegar, which not every restaurant does, so I did appreciate that. Bruschetta was a little strange but still good.

When in the North End, relax, come hungry, leave full and happy! If possible come a bit before the rush and enjoy the transition from quiet to robust! Pleasant service, full portions, hot and delicious food! Service is good, not superior, ambience is North End! Enjoy your respit, enjoy your meal!

Delicious food, very good service. It’s a cozy restaurant, good for family, business or a couple outing. No parking, as every restaurant in little Italy, you’ll need to park in the street.

This is one of the best restaurants in the North End. Excellent service, fast and efficient. Food was freshly made and hot. Who gives you three pieces of chicken with an entrée? Chicken was so tender. I would note the price for the entrée on the bill was $2 more than it showed on the menus. I understand prices have gone up but you have to let the customers know that. Either say something or get new menus. I would highly recommend this restaurant !!

Lo Contes is my favorite restaurant in the North End . The staff is as incredible as the food. I live in NH so I don’t get into the North End very often. Probably around once or twice a year. But it feels like family. They always remember us. It’s usually busy but relatively quiet compared to the Hanover St. crowds. And it always feels relaxed and comfortable. Great food, wine and service. What’s not to like?
