IMPORTANT NOTE: Loving Hut is takeout only!!! You need to pay for street parking, so don’t pay for longer than you order pick up. What gets me Is that the website doesn’t say takeout only and there’s a color at the bottom that says dine in. We ordered the golden rolls which were ok, I would’ve preferred a more robust sweet and sour dipping sauce. We also picked up the map of tofu and sweet and sour divine. The sweet-and-sour divine was meant to be like a sweet-and-sour chicken, but by the time we started eating it, it was kind of mushy. the mapo tofu was just ok.

This was the best Asian vegan cuisine I’ve ever had. I ate here twice in 2 days because the food was so good. The gentleman that runs the restaurant is incredibly helpful and friendly. I never ran out of water while seated. The restaurant vibe itself is really homey and comforting. Definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone.

Stay healthy, stay vegan. Don’t get me wring, I am a non-vegetarian, but after eating here I felt being vegan isn’t that tough either.

A great find! I ordered the Spicy Cha Cha, the serving was large enough to share with another person. They also served a complimentary soup. I tried the Silky Flan for dessert and it was delicious.

Such great food! It’s always consistently wonderful! The service is kind, the water is orangey, and you get a cup of soup whenever you order. I’m in love with the Mapo tofu and now the new general tso!

Vegan and Vegetarians rejoice! This place is awesome. I’m staying in Portland for the week and The Loving Hut is a vegan spot I’m definitely coming back to. The owner Mr. Ping is an incredibly nice guy who gave my wife and I spectacular service. If you’re unsure what to order, I highly recommend the Vegetable Udon Noodles.

One of the best vegan chinese places I’ve ever been. Inomoni (Los Angeles), Lucky Creation (SF), Yuan Su (also in Portland). I love it. I can’t believe I had never been here before. Tasty, healthy, a fine mix of good-for-you and junk-food-chinese. I want to go here every freaking week.

I didn’t know vegetarians can live so well without meat, until I ate in this restaurant someday. I highly recommend MaPo tofu if you go there first time, it is a traditional Chinese food, same taste with China. A little bit specy, but you will love it. others are delicious too.
