I was excited to try a new place with a salsa bar. I was so excited about the Mole Chicken Enchiladas they were good, the mole was a little sweeter than I’m used too. The beans and rice were bland. The beans were just like water but no flavor. The rice looked good, but same, bland. My friend ordered a burrito, looked really good, he said it was really good. Maybe try that next time. I did really enjoy my Jamaica, it was just right. We’ll be back, maybe in a few months after they’ve been open for awhile.

As a lifelong Texan, I take my tacos seriously. We tried Luna Playa Tacos today and were so happy to finally have found a place with delicious tacos that remind us of home. The restaurant is light, bright, and fun. For being only open two days, the service was great. You’d never would have known they just opened. Everyone was friendly, and our food came out quickly. We tried a little of everything, but our favorites would have to be the carne asada tacos, tacos de pescado and the fried quesadilla with steak. My husband ordered the chroizo tacos and he really loved it. The fried quesadilla reminded me of what we call a gordita in Texas. It was stuffed with steak and cheese, covered with lettuce, tomato and jalapeño. To drink we ordered horchata, watermelon Agua Fresca, topo Chico and a Mexican Coke. I also ordered the spicy margarita. It was strong and delicious, with a Tajin rim. Their fresh salsas in the salsa bar were delicious. We will definitely be back.

Overall good. I had Mexican street style tacos. Servers were very friendly and efficient. Even the bus person brought me water and was checking on folks. I thought the margarita I had was very good, but a little pricey. Also, there was a salsa bar, nice touch. Biggest issue is the music was way too loud, and made it hard to have a conversation. It would have been great to have had more chill music which matched the overall decor / ambiance.

Ya’ll, look no further. Homemade tortillas!!! We went for brunch. The restaurant is very well put together, clean and aesthetically pleasing. Whoever designed this did a great job.

As soon as you walk into this restaurant you can feel the beach vibes without even being at the beach! I got the chance to try their enchiladas de mole & their sopes. The mole is more of the sweeter kind of mole rather than spicy, the sopes were the delicious however the steak was a bit chewy, the chorizo ones were delicious!

Luna Playa brings me back home to my grandmother’s cooking. Their margaritas are on point. The Cadillac is the best and strongest margarita I’ve ever had. Their flavors are unbelievable. Add pomegranate, mango, or coconut to your Cadillac or spicy margarita. My favorite foods are their steak quesadillas, verde enchiladas (not on the menu, but ask for them), their beef tongue and carnitas tacos, and their chorizo queso.

Food is good, it took longer than expected to be ready, and the pastor meat was cold when it got to us (we ordered a pastor torta). The place is very clean, the staff is super friendly and you can feel a pretty a cool positive vibe.

The place had a great ambiance and vibe. We felt so excited to get to finally try this place. Once we ordered we went to sit down. We were one of 4 tables in the restaurant. We went to 4 different tables and all 4 were dirty with salsa and crumbs on the seats and floor. The staff watched us walk back and forth to gather napkins and water to wipe our table and chairs off. Alright no big deal we thought, at least the food looks promising. This place was a huge let down. 3.50-4$ per taco that were skimp and overcooked with no flavor. We felt cheated. I ordered 3 tacos and beans. The chorizo was severely over cooked and dry with no flavor. The Al pastor was disappointing and flavorless, and the lengua tasted like it was boiled with no flavor at all. The beans were undercooked and flavorless. We were given 1 lime slice for 5 tacos. My wife ordered an Al pastor taco and agreed that it lacked flavor. She ordered a $4 vegetarian taco that was supposed to come with avocado and beans and did not have those in the taco. She sent it back and was met with an attitude. They brought her out a crane asada taco that she ate two bites of and couldn’t finish because it tasted like dog food. I tried it and agreed, it was not good quality. We ordered a kids chicken plate for our son. He couldn’t eat the chicken because it was so dry and was a choking hazard. His beans were undercooked as well.

Not one to do reviews but a lot of inconsistency here. Brunch was great, loved the chilaquiles and pineapple marg. Also had the Cadillac, equally as good. Came back to try the tacos and they all came out two boats not according to our order. Couldn’t tell what belonged to me and my friend. Never received our queso fundido, Drinks tasted completely different from the weekend. Location is very questionable too, not much survives here. Kind of a doomed spot. Seems like maybe they opened too early and have a lot to work out. Inconsistency and bad location can really hurt you in the end, not sure I’ll make the trek back, maybe just for brunch.
