Margo is a hoot! What a great place to have an awesome All American hot dog or sausage. The Chicago dog is the classic, don’t leave without getting one to take with you. My wife had the Texas dog, Yummy ! I love the atmosphere, the nostalgic pictures on the walls and the diverse group that visits here. Stop and have one or two with some onion rings, it’s a great afternoon!

As a native a native to Illinois this is one of the best Chicago style hot dog joints EVER! They do better than most in actual Chicago, the foods not greasy here and the atmosphere is so welcoming, feels like I’m back home. The prices are amazing and very affordable. Will definitely be coming back every time I’m in the area!

A very surly owner…doesn’t appreciate her customers. Doesn’t care that her hours are misquoted on several websites and her own outside advertising has the wrong hours. She doesn’t care. Doesn’t care that her serving counter has been broken for years and she puts a bucket on top to make sure you don’t put your hand on it. Doesn’t care that she ran out of ketchup. Basically, doesn’t care about her business. We are not going back. Chicago dogs are good and interesting.

Tourists should avoid this place. She will rip you off. She uses funny math to overcharge you by 10-20%. I don’t think she does this for her regulars. She will not give you any type of receipt. If you are stupid enough to order fries make sure they have ketchup (as other reviews have said). Place looks dirty over the counter.

I work in the area so I finally stopped in for lunch after driving by so many times, and told the lovely blonde woman that I was a picky eater right away. She was very nice and explained every item to me. I ordered a simple chili dog, but honestly one of the best dogs I’ve ever had! Love the poppy seed bun. I ordered simple, but if you’re a fan of “traditional” style hot dogs, definitely stop here they have all the goods

Went there for “Chicago Dogs”. Very good meal. I am a lover of these dogs because I was born there. Not many restaurants can claim to make the perfect “Chicago Dog”, but Margo’s ranks right up there as one of the best I have tasted.
