This was our first time. We are on a budget, so we went during happy hour. (M-F 3pm-6pm). We sat on the patio, and it was actually not too hot (Sep 1st). They had fans and misters going. I als am hot even when it’s 80, so that’s saying something. We ordered 3 happy hour small appetizers, and both my husband and I were stuffed. We had the mini fondue, the boil, and the salmon nachos. Everything was delicious. The potatoes in the boil could have been smaller cuts, so it got cooked all the way, but it was still good. I also had the sangria, which was very good. We will be going back.

My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary and decided to try this restaurant. I made reservations and when we arrived 15 minutes early, we were seated immediately. Our server (Mario S.) was well-informed and quick to recommend a couple of cocktails. My wife had the Bloody Mary, which she adored and I had the Primm’s cup, and it was delicious. After our Crab Cake appetizer, we had our entrées. I had the Stuffed Flounder and my wife had the Balsamic Salmon. Needless to say, both entrées were phenomenal. My Flounder was cooked to perfection and had the perfect amount of seasoning. Both entrées were well worth the money spent on our special occasion. We will most definitely return to try the rest of the menu items. I recommend McAdoo”s 1000% and give Mario S. a shout-out. He deserves it.

The Chilean sea bass with crab fried rice was so yummy. The crab cake appetizer was delicious. The drinks and the cheesecake were fantastic. The shrimp was tasty, but the crawfish etouffee it was served on was bland. Our waiter was very good…attentive with a great personality. He made sure we had everything we needed. Overall a wonderful experience.

Was a bit surprised because my expectations for this one were very high. They managed to exceed my expectations, which usually doesnt happen. If you only have one thing. Have the Seafood Fondue. Everything tasted fresh and the drinks were excellent. ILL BE BACK (in my Schwarzenegger voice).

First time here, busy vibe. We were given a nice presentation about different types of raw oysters and we tried 3 types, though oysters are smaller than I thought.

Decided to try Sunday Brunch here, as every restaurant in New Braunfels was packed. We arrived about 20 mins before McAdoos opened and were almost at the front of the line. Arriving early and getting in line is a must if you want to be seated when the doors open. The place was packed however it didn’t affect our service. Our server was Bianca and she was wonderful and on point. She offered suggestions and described the new menu items. I can not say enough good things about Bianca, she was wonderful and really took care of us. Everyone from the hostesses, and all the servers were very friendly and helpful. I tried the crab cake stacked salad and it was delicious, just the perfect combination of flavors and freshness- perfect for a hot summer day. My husband had fried catfish and shrimp with a wedge salad and he enjoyed every morsel. Everything thing was lovely and such a beautiful atmosphere. We will definitely be back.

Food is the star of this restaurant. From the oysters, trout, seabass, keylime pie, and raspberry cheesecake, everything was exceptional. Crowd noise can get deafening, and service is slow, but that is apparently the norm post CV19. Get the seabass!

Sydney, our server, treated us so well. She was personable and accommodating telling us about the menu. Describing the dishes we were not disappointed. Here is a taste of McAdoos.

While vacationing in Canyon Lakes, my husband and I were able to stumble upon this highly prestigious establishment by taking to Yelp. Because of this, we had had an amazing seafood dining experience. In my opinion, McAdoo’s is an elegant, classy, and expensive restaurant. If you’re thinking of dining here, plan to dress chic or formal as it is a very classy place. Also, make a reservation before you arrive. A fun fact about this establishment is that it was previously a post office before it became McAdoo’s! How cool is that? The exterior of the building continues to have attributes of a post office.
