Food is good. Hence the only reason they’re getting 3 stars. Place was packed. Look at the line in my photo. Two people at the register only (one was being trained) so basically one person. Line was almost out the door. Slow and I mean slow is an understatement. Meanwhile we saw other staff members just standing (one who was looking at his phone). Like I get workers are hard to come by these days, but at least look like you’re trying. Everyone looked miserable. No apology for waiting forever in the line. Instead of having a guy just standing by the soda machine on his phone or one just waiting to take food out occasionally, manage the employees better and have them multi task. As busy as the Dells get in the summer you need to have more employees or make the best use of the ones you have. Not happy with the service (or lack thereof) today. Oh the kicker was my daughter asked for tortilla soup, but got potato. We asked for the correct one and it literally took 10 min (for a cup of soup) to be ready. We had to go ask about it because it took forever! Frustrating!

As a family, we love McAlister’s and stop at many around the country on our travels. We may not stop at the one in Wisconsin Dells again though. Our experience today was less than stellar. Staff were too busy looking at their personal cell phones behind the counter than to take orders. Once our order was taken it took forever to get our food (30 minutes) and the place was not even that busy. Once we got our food, we noticed items were missing and instead of the chips we ordered we got baked chips. When we asked about this we were told yea, that’s what we have when clearly on the counter behind them were other chips. To make matters worse, once we got our food to the car to hand out to the family, the kids cookies were placed on top of their HOT food making them melt into their pizza and spud. Who wants to eat a pizza or potato with a melted chocolate chip cookie, especially kids. We brought it right back in and were told “yea, thats how we package it” as if this was totally normal and people should just eat pizza with a melted chocolate cookie in it. They did finally remake it, but come on, do better!

Went there for the first time today with my fiance, really enjoyed it! I had a “Memphian” sub and he had a “Spicy Turkey Melt”. I could’ve had a little more mayo but other than that it was delicious and I got a side of tomato and cucumber salad, and a lemonade which was refreshing! Definitely looking forward to going there again 🙂

Right behind the huge plastic cowboy is a great lunch spot. They have multiple vegetarian options. This location has about 5 metal tables outside that are generally in the shade.

Excellent place for sandwiches, soup and sweet tea at a reasonable price. Highly recommend the sweet tea one of the best ever! Great staff with clean place for a bathroom stop too. This location does have outside seating as well. I would recommend to get it to go and eat outside somewhere else.

I was passing through the Dells and was looking for a good sandwich, I was surprised to see McAlister’s Deli come up on Google since I’ve never heard of them before. I used their online ordering system which was super easy to use. I got the Horseradish Roast beef and cheddar sandwich, I had to keep driving so it probably wasn’t as good as it could have been if I had eaten there but it was still very good.
