Wonderful service. Great atmosphere. Everyone is super friendly! I reached 10 points meaning I could get something for free, so I ordered a waffle but unfortunately they told me that I couldn’t get it for free, and that it was only ice cream and certain stuff on the menu. So I ordered ice cream instead. As the employee was making my ice cream, he called me by my name, professionally, and he said “Do you want a waffle? It’ll be on us!” And I thought that was so sweet of him to do. What he brought to the table took my breath away. I was astonished and full of glee. I definitely recommend coming here if you’re looking for yummy sweets.

Melao’s has the unique convenience of being right across the street from the Rahway Train Station, yet this is not a place you would want to use as a grab and go joint. This is one place one should definitely want to go into and stay awhile to enjoy their offerings. I had their Taylor Ham Egg and Cheese sandwich and was not disappointed. The bagel was chewy and larger than conventional size. The service was very friendly and accommodating, and the cook was very engaging as well. A couple of locals added to the quiet ambience of the building with informative discussions. About my only disappointment with my breakfast was the coffee, which I found way too acidic, and perhaps should have been changed earlier. All told however, this is one place that’s on my list whenever I go to Rahway.

Delicious rolled ice cream and I enjoy their coffee as well. The place has a nice vibe inside and service has been overall friendly. I was a little disappointed during my last two visits though. A few nights ago I was looking for a bite to eat but I didn’t know they closed the kitchen an hour before closing. I would also suggest closing off the seating area if close to closing. I went in a few weeks ago for rolled ice cream with my kids and a few guests and we felt rushed. While still eating, our party and the people next to us were told that they were closed. We finished our ice cream across the street. Would I return? Yes, based on the quality.

One of my favorite places in town to visit. The decor is fun and the atmosphere is comfortable. Everything you want in a neighborhood coffee shop. They have a fantastic drip and as I like my coffee black I can say that with confidence. But the real draw is the rolled ice cream. Which you can pretty much get anyway you like. I personally always go for it on a homemade waffle. A great place for a quiet date night or to hang out with friends. The friendly atmosphere makes it a great place for the young adults/teenagers in our community to feel comfortable and that will always get five stars from me.

Lovely cafe with fun decor, variety of menu options for quick bites. The variety of brewed teas can come iced or hot, there are cappuccinos, espresso, coffee, shakes, hand rolled ice cream & lots more. The cafe is kept clean and chill music playing. The service was great, staff is super polite and friendly.

The rolled ice cream is definitely good but when I was getting my order there was a girl who looked like we had a problem. She looked like she hasn’t slept. She didn’t give the receipt too. I also had to tell her to add in the whipped cream because she forgot. Over all the service was horrible.
