The Pad Thai was everything I thought it would be—took me back to eating from street vendors in Bangkok. The waitress was extremely attentive and while I was there a health inspection took place. I watched the inspector go over the report with the owner and tell her she was doing a great job. From my perspective, I would have to agree!

I am quite sad about this review. I have been ordering food from this location (before it was “new” Bangkok) for over 20 years. The quality for everything but the curries is just terrible now. The picture is of the over-heated noodles from pad Thai (bland, greasy, and overcooked) that melted through the styrofoam. The soup had raw onions in it. The beef salad had no Thai flavor and tasted old. I’ve really tried to follow them through what has been a management transition over the past couple years but I always just end up just disappointed and frustrated that I paid so much money for terrible food.

Literally JUST left, and am THOROUGHLY satisfied! I know there may have been some ups and downs with management changes, and the pandemic, but trust, they’re back!! A refreshed menu and great customer service leads you to the best part, the food. Though I miss my calamari, the wings and rice was outstanding! Always a favorite stop, and will be back soon!

I loved the New Bangkok Restaurant in Columbia SC. I liked it so much that I got the same pad thai dish two nights in a row… the place isn’t much to look at but the food is delicious! I would give the food 5 stars but the place has zero atmosphere so I can’t go overboard with 5 stars. The lady serving is super nice.

Pleasantly delighted! Loved it! It’s not your typical run-of-the-mill Chinese food. You can tell that everything is made fresh and more authentic. I ordered the General Tsao’s chicken and was initially disappointed to find that it was not as “saucy” as I’m used to, but after tasting it I realized it was better! Freshly fried, oh-so-crispy, and a lovely flavor! And the rice and egg roll were likewise a shade different than the usual, but in a great way! I’d happily go again. Also I got a meal with fried rice and an egg roll for $13, and this is EASILY two meals. Tons of food. Also the lady at the counter was very nice. I did have to wait a bit when I showed up to pick up my order, but it was worth it.

We ordered throughout a delivery app. I specified “no onions” in the special instructions, but my son’s soup came loaded with onions. He is allergic, so he couldn’t eat it. This soup isn’t even supposed to be made with onions.
