The New Mill Restaurant left me with mixed feelings after multiple visits. On my first visit, during a weekday, I had a pleasurable experience with decent food and a good server. We enjoyed the calamari, filet, and granny smith apple salad.

Great food and staff. Everything was seasoned perfectly! Very happy we finally tried this Southington gem! Staff was welcoming and talkative…interacted well with my children as well. Atmosphere was cozy…rustic. We will come back.

There is ample parking and very big seating area inside as well as some tables and chairs outside. Servers were pleasant and attentive. The food was overall good and they serve big portions. One of our chicken entrees seemed to be a little undercooked..that was truly unfortunate. The steak was heavily salted as well.

7/21: I got nervous sending a little detailed email regarding my special day….This is a first for me! I’ll be honest.. I was hoping for a better response than literally just “you need 30 people”…. What ever happened to simple pleasantries? That turned me, my friends AND family off so fast. We won’t be coming back for another meal.

Went there for the first time and was not disappointed. Service (Sarah) was great to the point my water glass never went below halfway. My wife had a house made mozzarella appetizer that she was very impressed with. As for the main event I had the extremely flavorful Cowboy Ribeye steak with roasted potatoes and green beans while my wife had a very tasty Chicken and Shrimp Piccata with mashed potatoes and green beans. The food was unbelievable and I recommend both dishes. I also would suggest our dessert, which was a slice of Vanilla Bean Cheesecake with fresh strawberries and whipped cream. This was so good I ordered an additional one to take with us. The atmosphere was nice to enjoy the comfort of the restaurant and the company at my table and I could see others doing so as well. The bartenders were friendly and funny and I had a great time overall. Great experience, exceptional food!

if you are looking for a restaurant for a special occasion, I recommend this place! They have limited menu due to COVID but they have a good selection and they are very delicious! We got a chicken and shrimp scampi dish, and a pasta dish; both were very good. We enjoyed the food, as well as the atmosphere! We got a cheesecake for a dessert, and it was very rich and creamy; delicious!

Great selection of awesome tasty food and drinks. Friendly staff. Some sections are noisier than others. We had a table of 7 and everyone enjoyed the meal. Large portions! Took half of it home so I could partake on the many delicious desserts. Will definitely go back.
