For the price of the food and the alcohol this place is great! You’re not overpaying for a microwave meal, the chefs put in their work. Make it for dancing and you’re even more set!

Seemed like a cool place. First time on a Friday afternoon, not open. Came back Saturday afternoon. Sat at the bar and I guess we were invisible. Someone else walked up and was served right away. Will never go back. This place will not make it! Go to McKeens right up the street. Cheap beer and good food. Got waited on right away.

Worked as the head chef, realized that the kitchen had never seen soap and water ever. Absolutely unacceptable to be open for service so I had to call STATE HEALTH INSPECTOR to shut it down for a week to clean. Owner Bob Larsen never paid anyone by a business check probably going to or should be audited and also is the most unprofessional business owner out there. He has lost a business or 2 due to sanitary problems hence why he will not be back at Crazy Bob’s at Brooks Golf Course. Servers and bartenders are great. The only thing good but new cook had merca(open sores from merca staff infection)

Nice place in the Iowa Lakes area! Decent prices for a tourist area. It was a little loud the night we were there but the band was ok. Heard they have better. Will be back when we get back up there.

Great place to have a fund raiser for the Northwest Iowa Humane Society. We made $6000 celebrating June Goldman’s birthday.

Can’t give a review on the food because we never got waited on. Table of 4 only maybe 15 people in the place (4 tables) waited good 15 minutes finally went to the bar to get menus and ask if they were serving food the female bartender was VERY rude and said YEP but it’s going to be a while before I get to you? Mind you everyone was going to the bar to get their own drinks, no service. We waited another 15 minutes before leaving. I feel we gave The Barn a fair chance and we’re very disappointed!

Beautiful venue! I attended a rather large wedding reception that was held upstairs. Buffet line was on the main level so the line went down the staircase on one end and back up on the other. It flowed very well. Only problem was the bench seating at the long tables… I found it was not easy to navigate in my formal dress.
