I used to love this place, been a customer for 8+ years. However, the last four times I have ordered from here (Uber eats & in person) I have received little to no protein at all. They used to give me reasonable portions in the past, but paying $20 + for this amount of food is not acceptable. What happened?

So delicious!! I ordered a gyro (beef & lamb) it was so yummy. The pita bread was so fresh. Good amount of protein. Fresh crunchy romaine lettuce, fresh tomatoes, fresh feta cheese phenomenal. Side sauce so good. Can’t say enough about it. Everything was so fresh. Cant wait to go back. People are gracious & quick! A MUST TRY!! I go there a lot. YUMMY!!

So this place was great. Initially I was going to Jilbertos mexican next door since that is where my coworker was going but then I saw Paradiso medditeranien grill and I just had to try them out and I wasn’t disappointed. The man behind the counter who looked like the manager was wearing a smile which is very important to me.. its called customer service.. almost like a smile can make the food taste better.. any way very friendly, took my order right away, he was knowledgable about the menu, gave me several side options. But in the end I just had to try the Lamb Gyro on a pita bread with extra ziti sauce and seasoned frys and a dr pepper. Pretty much my go to item that I just absolutely have to try anytime I try a new medditeranien restaurant. The Gyro was very good and I absolutely love the ziti sauce especially to dip my frys in.. My food arrived in about 7 min which was great cuz originally he said it would be about ten min.. but I while I waited I checked out the bathroom and washed my hands, very clean, floors were clean, tables were clean. In fact the whole restaurant was very inviting. Unfortunetly I wasn’t able to dine in cuz my coworker still ended up going to the restaurant next door so I actually ate with him there but I really would have preferred to eat my food at Paradiso but I still took pictures of the restaurant inside and out buy the food pictures were taken while sitting next door. HOPE THIS HELPS YALL.

Leaving this review here so I don’t forget and order from this place again. The “flavored” saffron rice is just white rice with no flavor for miles. The chicken is awful and salad is most likely taken from the trash bin right next to the restaurant. That’s the worst $20+ I’ve ever spent.

Generally I like the food. I prefer their falafel to Ali Baba. However, only 1 of 4 times I’ve ordered Baba Ganoush has it looked and tasted fresh. This last time it was dark, bitter, and basically inedible. Not sure if it was old or prepared differently. The restaurant itself is hot like a sauna.

The guy who took out order was eating out of the bar with his bare hands while we were eating, he was also drinking and pouring himself red wine. He wasn’t particularly friendly until we were leaving.

Good Service. However, the Ganoush was made with peanut oil and not olive oil…ugh! Don’t get it!!

Very disappointing for the price, bad value at mid day. Stuffed grape leaves dolmas were terrible with burnt Spanish style rice. Soggy, small, gyro sandwiches. The location is great, but go elsewhere. It has gone downhill from its early days. Manager probably not interested in feedback; no courage to complain in person, he looks not interested. Time to move on, Escondido, we need better restaurants. Buyer beware.

Good food. Nice staff. Prices seem high for me, seeing as there are no waiters. But prices have gotten high in most places. Try it and see for yourself.

So this is my first and last time eating here. I ordered both the Gyro and Falafel sandwiches. Absolutely disgusting. Food was cold and dry and they threw blue cheese crumbles in both sandwiches? Such a strange combo that does not work. Coming from a middle eastern background this does not even come close to hitting the mark!
