All the sandwiches we got had too much salt on them to the point we could not taste the food and no lettuce or tomatoes. We were not asked if we wanted it. I thought it would be just on them. Crab soups were good tho.

The crabs are good.. the people are nice.. BUT THEY CHEATED ME TWICE. Two times I have paid $350 for a bushel of xlarge male crabs and BOTH TIMES they MIXED THEM WITH MEDIUMS and SMALLS. They hid them at the bottom of the box. I will NEVER go there again.

The atmosphere is great the people in the front greet you when entering and usually with a smile and are very tentative to your needs. The food is top notch flavor wise and freshness you do get what you pay for. There is no complaints on those topics. But service is ify I feel is I’m paying good money and spending $300 $400 that there should be no service issue. I’m saying 2 dozens XL Crabs should be in a box or in a brown paper bag that is doubled so your bag does not rip. I also say check your order before leaving you would assume that with an order of this size they would make sure ALL the items you ordered would be correct. I also ordered several large fries and they all were either half way in the container or less. Yes I did call and they offered to correct the issue but that just ment that I’d have to drive 35 minutes there and 35 minutes back. Now if I lived less than 10 minutes that would have been more acceptable.

I arrived promptly at Richards today at 5pm to pick up my order that was placed at 3pm. I was informed that the order was not ready and the kitchen staff was still working on it. My order consisted of 1/2 dozen crabs and a lb of shrimp. Needles to say after 20 minutes of waiting I asked the young ladies if my order was ready and gave them my name again to check on it. I was very irritated that my order was ready the entire time I waited. I was handed my order and told I was all set. I was very disappointed that no one offered an apology for the delay or provided a justification why I wasn’t given my order when I arrived at 5pm. I wonder how long it would have taken until they realized I was still waiting on my order. This was a very disappointing experience and again I was not provided with an apology for waiting 20 minutes. It took me asking for it, by far this was the worst customer service I received at Richards. I hope that the service I received this evening is never experienced again.

The new location is very nice. They have a decent amount of room for dining inside. We split their shrimp salad sandwich for lunch often, a bargain at under $10. Nice selection of fresh fish and seafood. They also have oven ready dishes to go such as crabcakes, crab dip and crab pretzel. All of the staff are very friendly and helpful.

Tried this shack for the 1st time. It is always slammed, so obviously a good sign. The family tried an assortment of food. Probably the best shrimp and crab I’ve had in MD. Hush puppies and potatoe salad was great! Give them a go if you’re in the area.
