The food wasn’t great. It was just okay. Too rich gravies upset our stomachs later on.

Average Indian restaurant in Santa Monica. Vibes were very traditional, cozy, and the aroma was filled with spices. The chicken tikka had quite a large portion but was extremely expensive ($26). It was also on the sweeter side which some may or may not prefer. Service was a bit slower even when restaurant was practically empty; would recommend going if you have money to spend. However, the food was very good overall.

This place is really nice , clean and with great paintings of bangali culture! I would recommend if you want to try bangali food like rasogula , fish , bhelapuri ( it was more over jhalmorhi) ,samosha and bangla biryani ( sorry if you want authentic South Indian biryani)

Food was really spicy and we ordered biryani and they served tawa pulav with out and yogurt or raita or onion. Service was amazing so giving 4 stars on that.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Rita’s restaurant. Our flight was delayed from LAX it was an easy Uber ride to her Resturant . We were greeted by the owner she is absolutely lovely and stunning person has been in business more than 32 years. The food was delicious – we ordered a whole lot of stuff everything was amazing but our favorite was the lamb and the shrimp. The food is very authentic and each plate individually made for the customer.. Close to Santa Monica beach for a little walk after a wonderful meal thank you again for the pleasant experience we had.

Rita was amazing! She was very thoughtful of our experience, talked with us, then cooked for us. The food tasted perfect and we all had different plates and tried each other’s. We felt like this was a personal experience eating food we usually don’t get where we live. Definitely recommend coming here!

Ordered the chicken briyani. Waited for quite some time even though there was not many guests. Taste is acceptable but definitely not the best. It was too oily for me and the ingredients used remind me of fried rice. Chicken meat chunks were used instead of chicken pieces.

So I’ve been here twice. First I came on a Monday in the afternoon. Pretty empty, so the service was phenomenal. I ordered the chaat, paneer tikka masala, saag paneer and garlic naan. I was THRILLED with the quality of the food, the taste, texture, everything about it was comforting and wholesome. The garlic naan was fresh out of the oven, piping hot and crisp. The mains were flavorful and authentic. I mean I’m getting chills from how fantastic it was. I LOVE that they cube their paneer a little smaller so you have more of the cheese throughout the dish. I was like, “THIS is my new favorite Indian restaurant!”

I branched out and tried some Indian Food. I’ve never eaten chicken that made me smile with every bite, but that happened here.

This place was recommended to me by a friend, went in the afternoon on a week day and it was quiet, which I loved. The service was like family and the food was AMAZING. I loved the coconut chicken curry and the garlic naan. If I lived close by, I’d get take out for dinner every night, or dine in! They have high chairs for little ones too, totally family friendly. Also, the music was relaxing. You must eat here at least once during your visit!
